After April Fool's Day, Lorna and Elektra chose to go out together.
Mainly because Lorna could not drive and had no intention of learning, so Elektra had to give her a ride.
Elektra did not refuse. As long as Ke Chen was not involved, the two of them would not really have any conflicts.
Besides, after knowing each other for so long, they did not dislike each other that much anymore.
"What do you want to buy?"
Elektra asked Lorna.
"Some clothes."
Lorna felt that her clothes were too old-fashioned, especially since she did not have a uniform.
She felt that was why she could not compete with Elektra.
Lorna had never expected Elektra to design her own uniform.
Unaware of Lorna's thoughts, Elektra immediately suggested, "I know a few brands. I'll take you to have a look."
They had plenty of time to shop, and whenever women mentioned shopping, they seemed to possess endless stamina.
It was in their nature. It was as though their genes contained the words buy, buy, buy.
Ke Chen had vanished who knew where, and they could not find him.
He had clearly been in the room earlier.
Fortunately, Elektra knew how capable Ke Chen was, so she told Lorna not to worry.
Once they started shopping, the two forgot about time, and it was soon dark.
Lorna sensed Elektra's intentions. The clothes Elektra recommended were indeed pretty, but they were far too conservative.
So she picked out plenty of beautiful clothes herself, wanting Ke Chen to see the change.
Thus, amid their open and covert rivalry, they prepared to return to Long Island.
Elektra did not live at Ke Chen's house, so after dropping Lorna off, she would still have to go home herself.
But just as they got into the car, both of them suddenly sensed danger.
Whoosh!
A hidden weapon flew down from the rooftop. Elektra reacted instantly and tried to dodge.
But the weapon had already reached her face.
Elektra's expression changed drastically, because it was even faster than Bullseye's had been before.
At that moment, Lorna stretched a hand out in front of her.
Green light glowed from Lorna's hand, and the dart-like hidden weapon was immediately brought under her control.
It could not be helped. The thing was made of metal!
Both women looked up at the rooftop, where a figure flashed past.
The ambusher was naturally Bullseye.
After getting used to his body, Bullseye had chosen to strike at Elektra first.
So he had followed Elektra all afternoon.
He had also discovered that the woman beside Elektra was Ke Chen's woman.
Therefore, Bullseye decided to kill both women. That Eastern man named Ke Chen would surely suffer terribly.
But who would have thought that, just as the dart was about to hit Elektra between the brows, it would be controlled by the green-haired woman beside her?
The moment he saw the green light in her palm, Bullseye knew things had gone wrong.
A mutant.
Another fucking mutant.
He immediately turned to flee. Mutants were not impossible to deal with, but it required the right approach.
Bullseye had not known this information before, and acting now would clearly be too hasty.
"Let me handle this."
Lorna held Elektra back, then pointed both hands at the ground. As green light flickered, her entire body floated up.
Elektra stared at Lorna in surprise. After spending so much time together, she had never imagined Lorna had such a trick.
"That is so cool."
Elektra muttered.
Lorna did not float very quickly. It could not even be considered flying, but she had indeed risen into the air and went straight up to the rooftop.
Simply put, her floating relied on a magnetic field, though it looked somewhat like how Scarlet Witch Wanda would fly later.
Both women had power glowing around their hands before rising into the air.
By the time Lorna reached the rooftop, Bullseye had already run far away.
When Bullseye looked back, he was so frightened that he sped up even more.
That green-haired woman could fly too?
Good thing he had chosen to run immediately, or he would have been finished.
Just as Bullseye had that thought, he suddenly realized he could no longer move.
"What is going on?"
Bullseye desperately tried to control his body, but it was as if he had lost control of it. It no longer belonged to him.
How could there be such a strange feeling?
If his body did not belong to him, then who did it belong to?
Lorna had not expected the person before her to be so strange.
She could only sense that his entire body was made of metal, but that was perfect for Lorna.
He was completely countered by her!
With a casual wave of her hand, Lorna used her ability to render Bullseye unable to resist.
It was like Wolverine encountering Magneto. He was naturally and utterly countered; Magneto simply could not kill him.
But Bullseye did not possess Wolverine's freakish regenerative ability.
Wolverine's regeneration was powerful enough to rival Deadpool's.
Poor Bullseye had thought he had become stronger, only to run straight into his natural nemesis.
Although Adamantium had been injected into his body, and some of it had even fused with his bones, making him as indestructible as Wolverine, so that even falling from a high-rise would not injure him.
But he did not have regenerative abilities.
He was still the same as before. If he was killed, he would die!
So Bullseye was afraid.
Lorna controlled him and made him fly backward, intending to bring him back for Elektra to see.
He definitely had a grudge against Elektra, or why else would he have ambushed her?
But at that moment, Lorna heard someone shouting nearby.
"Stop!"
She turned her head and immediately saw two people in black agent uniforms facing her.
One was a man holding a bow, while the other was a woman holding a handgun.
"Hey, you violated the Mutant Accords!"
Mutants could not use their abilities freely and had to restrain themselves.
Although the controlled Bullseye did not look like a good person, Natasha and Barton still had to investigate the situation.
That was right. The two agents before her were Natasha and Hawkeye Barton.
After leaving Ohio, Natasha had come to New York, intending to work for the still-unnamed S.H.I.E.L.D.
However, Nick Fury did not trust her yet, and had arranged for Barton to ostensibly protect her while actually monitoring her.
With nothing to do, Natasha had wandered around New York City, and that was how she witnessed this scene.
"You want to stop me?"
Lorna looked coldly at the two people before her.
She was getting impatient.
She had only come out to shop for clothes, yet she had been ambushed and then confronted with the Mutant Accords. It made her very unhappy.
The United States was a country where discrimination existed everywhere, and the more something was lacking, the more people emphasized it.
It was precisely because discrimination was everywhere that they constantly talked about opposing discrimination.
Natasha's words had made Lorna feel discriminated against for being a mutant.
She was already somewhat sensitive inside, so naturally she was displeased.
"No, we just want to investigate what happened."
Natasha immediately replied.
"Why should I submit to an investigation? Who are you people?"
A faintly contemptuous smile touched Lorna's lips.
