Book of Vishanti

Hearing Jean Grey's words, Ke Chen was not surprised. Ancient One was immensely powerful and the Ancient One of Kamar-Taj, so it was hardly strange that she had obtained the Book of Vishanti.

This also explained why Ancient One was respected by the Trinity Vishanti. She could even designate the next Ancient One.

Since Jean Grey had said that, did it not mean the Book of Vishanti was in her hands?

"The Book of Vishanti isn't with me. I don't need it."

Jean Grey saw through Ke Chen's thoughts at a glance. Perhaps she had learned of them long ago through time.

"The Book of Vishanti records powerful White Magic and defensive magic, but the spells it contains can never be used offensively. They can only be used for defense."

Ke Chen felt somewhat regretful upon hearing that. The famed Book of Vishanti was indeed formidable, the complete opposite of the Darkhold.

The Darkhold recorded Black Magic, while the Book of Vishanti contained White Magic. They were two entirely opposing styles that restrained each other. It could be said that the Book of Vishanti had appeared specifically to counter the Darkhold.

The ancient evil god Chthon had used Black Magic to become the god of Black Magic itself. His immense power relied upon the magic recorded in the Darkhold.

The Book of Vishanti could perfectly restrain it, but being limited to defense and unable to attack made it somewhat underwhelming.

No wonder Jean Grey said she had no use for it. She was powerful enough on her own and had no need to rely on its magic. The Phoenix Force could replace everything.

Yet even with such limitations, if the Book of Vishanti were out in the world, it would certainly be fought over by every mage—far more fiercely than
