Thor's Hammer had been enchanted by Thor back then. It would protect Jane Foster, and Jane Foster was now at death's door.

This was the chain reaction caused by what had happened back then. Nothing had seemed wrong at the time, but Odin had not lied—when ordinary people came into contact with the power of the Aether, it caused tremendous harm to them.

With human technology, they had only discovered now that Jane Foster was already in the late stages of cancer.

Thor soon learned of this and was filled with regret. He brought Jane Foster back to Asgard and prepared to deal with Gorr the God Butcher himself.

Soon after, he saw the God-King Hela and his mysterious brother-in-law in Asgard.

The two of them seemed to be on vacation and handed the matter entirely over to Thor. Hela said dismissively, "He is very weak. I already killed one of his avatars. You should be able to handle him."

This gave Thor some confidence. Since Hela could casually kill an avatar of Gorr the God Butcher, the enemy should not be that powerful.

So Thor confidently declared that he would deal with Gorr the God Butcher, then prepared to go find Gorr directly.

Ke Chen did not concern himself with the matter. He knew how it would end, so he naturally remained unmoved.

After all, this was a matter between Thor and Jane Foster, the couple. He had not stolen her away back then, so naturally he would not do so now either.

Besides, Ke Chen was now utterly infatuated with Hela. The feeling she gave him was different now. As it turned out, a brief separation made their reunion feel like newlyweds...
