Just as they were about to leave, Teacher Ma hurried over, followed by the fat principal, the cursing vice principal, and a whole crowd of teachers.

The vice principal was in his forties, hot-tempered, and taught history. He especially loved disciplining bad students. Whenever he caught one, he would slap them or kick them without hesitation. Who knew how many troublemakers hated him—and feared him just as much. Despite his age, he never went easy on anyone when he hit them.

The vice principal rushed over at nearly a hundred-meter sprint. Seeing that these troublemaking students were familiar faces, he swung his right hand without mercy. One slap sent Thick Lips staggering backward.

"Have you all lost your minds?! What do you think this school is, doing this once, twice? You even brought your fighting onto school grounds! Do you still want to take the college entrance exam? If you don't want to study, then get the hell out! Go back and explain it to your parents—let's see whether you explain it with your fists or with knives!"

"Everyone, stand to the side!" the fat principal ordered sternly.

Though the troublemaking sports students were furious, they really could not just storm home in a fit of anger. Impulse was the devil. Leaving was easy; coming back would be difficult. They were not Wan Xing. They might be rebellious and overbearing, but they still dreamed of going to college.

"Get Su Yan to the hospital and have his wound treated!" Teacher Ma hurried anxiously around Su Yan. Half his face was nearly stained red with blood. This was a serious injury.

"I'll call a car to take him to the hospital," the dean said, quickly pulling out his phone.

Wan Xing went to the hospital with Su Yan. Wan Xing was the culprit, but he was still a student here. He had not shed any blood, yet he looked even more miserable than Su Yan, pale-faced and drenched in cold sweat. Wan Fang followed after them in panic, not knowing whether she should cry for Su Yan or for her own brother.

In the car, Lin Qiang and Chen Wanwan carefully helped Su Yan wipe away the blood. Su Yan sat motionless with half his face covered in blood, making everyone's skin crawl.

"Yan Yan, the wound is nothing. With your body, you'll recover quickly."

"Thank you."

"Hehe. If you want to thank me, then show it with something practical. Offer those people who bullied you to me."

"Aren't you afraid of kidney deficiency?" Su Yan asked in surprise.

"Get lost! Yan Yan, you're full of dirty tricks. Your mind is filthy."

Everyone got out at the hospital entrance. Lin Qiang had just helped Su Yan onto the steps when someone happened to come out. Seeing them, he cried out in shock, "Why are you all here? Ah, Teacher Ma, why are you here too...?"

Liang Kui awkwardly walked over to Teacher Ma. Teacher Ma had no mind to ask why he had come to C City without reporting to the school.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" Chen Wanwan asked with a frown.

Liang Kui changed the subject. "How did Su Yan get injured?"

Su Yan turned to look at him. The bloodstains across half his face looked especially cold and terrifying beneath the hospital lights.

Liang Kui froze, shocked. "Why is there so much blood? Did you guys get into a fight?"

Before Su Yan could say anything, Teacher Ma and Lin Qiang hurriedly pulled him inside.

Everyone else waited in the corridor. Several classmates indignantly recounted what had happened. The matter was easy enough to figure out. The bastard leading them had been Wan Xing. And who was Wan Xing? Not only a hooligan student, but Wan Fang's older brother.

He had obviously come to cause trouble for Su Yan because of Wan Fang. They had once thought Su Yan liked showing off, refusing the confession of such a beautiful girl without giving her any face. Now they felt that Su Yan was really unlucky. There was no reason that rejecting Wan Fang should earn him a beating from her brother. What kind of nonsense was that? Were they supposed to force Su Yan to accept Wan Fang?

After hearing the story, Liang Kui said angrily, "There are idiots like that? They've got some nerve. You guys are really pathetic. They brought people right to the classroom door, and you just let them throw their weight around? Are all the boys in our class dead? Have studying turned you into women who are afraid of trouble?"

Several boys flushed red from Liang Kui's words and protested unwillingly, "We didn't know at first. Later, we all wanted to go out and help, but Su Yan said something, and those big guys backed off first. They never even got to fight."

Liang Kui said disdainfully, "Who cares whether they backed off or not? You never should have let them leave in the first place. Since they threw the first punch, why the hell were you being polite? You should've grabbed chairs and smashed them with them. If you killed one, then you killed one. There were so many of you, yet you couldn't compare to one Su Yan. At least he got some payback for himself. Pathetic, truly pathetic!"

"Have you said enough? You weren't even there. If you've got the guts, go find them and win back our pride! Let's see how you deal with them. They could slap you to death with one hand. Those sports students aren't pushovers."

"If I'd been there, it really wouldn't have ended like this. So what if they're sports students? So what if they're tall? Put simply, you were scared. They were a head taller than you, and you all wilted. If those idiots come again, I'll beat them to death!" Liang Kui declared viciously, clenching his fists. The boys gave listless, cold snorts. They neither argued nor spoke again. They did not accept Liang Kui's scolding, but they also despised themselves. They really had wilted back then. They were all well-behaved students who usually preferred to turn big problems into small ones and small problems into nothing. Faced with those fierce-looking sports students, they had indeed retreated in fear from the bottom of their hearts.

In fact, if Su Yan had not spoken up and told the sports students who had not attacked to leave, they would eventually have been forced into a fight. When Su Yan spoke and the sports students retreated, they had all secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Chen Wanwan pushed the door open and headed straight for Liang Kui. With other students around, she could not act too intimate, so she merely smiled and said, "Su Yan's injuries aren't serious. The bleeding has stopped, and he's already gotten stitches."
