Background / History

Luo Chen was an ordinary Pokémon enthusiast before accidentally transmigrating to the Pokémon world and awakening the Dimensional Internet Cafe System. The system placed him in charge of an internet café deep within Mount Coronet, where he spent three days without a single human customer while trying to complete his first business mission. 1

Cynthia became his first customer after seeking shelter from a storm with Garchomp. Luo Chen introduced her to Pokémon: Ultimate Emerald, required livestreaming rather than money as payment, and completed his first mission after her session. The resulting rewards gave him building resources and the Berry Drink Cooler, beginning the café's expansion. 1 5

While gathering Berries, Luo Chen repeatedly showed patience toward wary wild Pokémon, including Litwick. His kindness ultimately drew the attention of a white Gengar suffering beneath a seal's black mist. Luo Chen used his archaeological vision to identify the source of Gengar's condition—a stolen gold coin bound to an ancient seal—and persuaded Gengar to return it. 5 19 20

After helping Gengar communicate through Voice of All Things, Luo Chen learned of Gengar's isolation and accepted him as a friend rather than treating him as a threat.
