Iono chose Bellibolt for the game and began exploring a Hisui shrouded in black mist. After defeating a corrupted Charmander, she reached a terrace overlooking a gigantic golden tree and spotted a pink figure near its top.

• Iono skipped Magikarp and selected Bellibolt, whose stats and Static ability appealed to her.
• The game transformed Ditto into Bellibolt and declared that Iono must journey to Hisui and become its new lord.
• Iono examined the interface, found a player message, and looted Black Sludge from a near-death Muk.
• A corrupted Charmander lunged at Iono, but Bellibolt defeated it and earned a level and a stat point.
• Iono looted blackened Charcoal and opened the door onto a terrace, where she saw a vast golden tree and noticed a pink figure near its top.

Iono encountered a powerful Muk that defeated Bellibolt in one hit, then a mysterious blue Gardevoir revived him and led her into the Stranded Graveyard. After repeatedly dying to a tutorial Rattata, Iono learned to dodge and counterattack, leveled up, and decided she was ready to head outside.

• Iono crossed a bridge and encountered the Scion of the Devourer Nobles, whose Muk defeated Bellibolt in one hit.
• A blue Gardevoir appeared in a cutscene, healed Bellibolt, and left him with a red bottle in his inventory.
• Iono learned the basic controls in the Stranded Graveyard, then panicked and was defeated by a Rattata.
• Iono returned to the Rattata, dodged its attacks, and defeated it and other Rattata as she grew more proficient.
• Bellibolt reached level three, and Iono decided there should be no problem heading outside.

Iono explored the ruined wilderness with Bellibolt, then challenged the powerful Tree Sentinel guarding a golden treasure chest. After repeated attempts and learning to dodge and counter, she reached half its HP before an unexpected combo defeated her and damaged her table.

• Iono defeated low-level wild Pokémon, raised Bellibolt's stamina, and equipped a Worn-out Bone Club.
• Iono found a golden treasure chest guarded by a Ceruledge riding a corrupted Venusaur, which she recognized as a boss.
• Iono trusted the chat's encouragement and challenged the Tree Sentinel, but its attacks quickly defeated Bellibolt.
• Iono repeatedly returned from the bonfire, learned to dodge attacks and counter during recovery, and eventually reduced the boss's HP by half.
• The Tree Sentinel surprised Iono with Venusaur's Vine Whip and Ceruledge's rising slash, defeating Bellibolt and prompting Iono to punch the table.

Iono repeatedly challenged the Ceruledge and Venusaur boss before giving up and losing the Strength Shards she had dropped on death. She bypassed the boss, reached Gatefront, met Gardevoir at a bonfire, and began fighting the local Pokémon, where a Chatot's call left her uneasy.

• Iono learned the boss's attack patterns and brought Ceruledge down to its final third, but its faster dismounted attacks and Venusaur's Razor Leaves defeated her.
• After several more failed attempts, Iono decided to bypass the Tree Sentinel and discovered her dropped Strength Shards were gone.
• Iono reached Gatefront and rested at a bonfire, where Gardevoir offered to convert her shards into strength, but Iono had none to spend.
• Iono defeated several sleeping Tyrogue and a Chatot in the camp, then missed a Thunder Shock against another Chatot, which called out and made her uneasy.
