Dream of Founding the "Body Sect"

At two in the afternoon, Setsuna arrived at the classroom right on time, as instructed. Two people were already waiting inside.

One of them grew excited at the sight of Setsuna. It was Might Guy. He did ten backflips on the spot before stopping to cheer, "Great! Big Brother Setsuna, we got assigned to the same class!"

The other was a timid girl around Guy's age. She greeted him softly, "Senior Setsuna."

Naturally, Setsuna recognized her. She was Shizune, whom Tsunade would later keep by her side because of Dan Katō.

"Please take care of me from now on," Setsuna replied with a smile, then looked at Guy. "I thought you'd be assigned to one of those official ninja squads."

Shizune quietly pricked up her ears. She had been wondering about that herself. Hadn't Guy graduated two years early? How had he ended up assigned with her?

Guy scratched his head awkwardly. "Just like I told you last time, Big Brother Setsuna, my former squad leader died in battle, and my teammate's injuries still haven't healed. The squad was disbanded. Other squads probably don't think much of a pure Taijutsu ninja like me."

Seemingly worried that they would think he was there to hold them back, Guy hurriedly assured them, "I may not be as strong as Big Brother Setsuna, but I should be fairly capable among Genin. Plus, I have two years of mission experience. I definitely won't drag anyone down."

Setsuna naturally did not think that way. Shizune, on the other hand, was beginning to worry about herself. She had watched Setsuna's fight with Asuma from start to finish and knew just how powerful he was. Guy sounded modest, but he too was a genius who had graduated at seven. Compared to the two of them, she seemed painfully ordinary.

Just then, a young ninja with a cold expression walked in. His long hair hung loose around his shoulders, and his pure white eyes were striking.

His gaze swept over the three of them as he spoke in a rigid tone. "I am Hizashi Hyuga, the Jonin assigned to guide you. I specialize in Taijutsu. Introduce yourselves as well, and tell me about your dreams."

"Huh? Our teacher is a Taijutsu expert from the Hyuga Clan?" Guy cheered excitedly. "With Big Brother Setsuna and me, this squad is truly a Taijutsu squad!"

As he spoke, he turned to Shizune, looking almost like he was preaching. "Shizune, how about practicing Taijutsu with us too?"

"Huh? Me?" Shizune was somewhat tempted. Before entering the Ninja Academy, she had always stayed by Tsunade's side. Tsunade had also asked whether she wanted to train in medical ninjutsu and Taijutsu under her in the future.

Back then, she had only wanted to study medical ninjutsu. But now, if both her teammates and teacher were Taijutsu experts, would she seem out of place if she did not practice Taijutsu? Would they bully her?

Hizashi's first order had been ignored, and the veins already bulging around his eyes became even more pronounced. What was wrong with these brats? They had no respect for him at all!

Fortunately, Setsuna did not leave him waiting in awkward silence. "My name is Chiaki Setsuna. I specialize in Taijutsu. My dream is to become a martial artist, spread Taijutsu throughout the Ninja World, and make Taijutsu into something like the Ninja Sect!"

Hizashi was slightly shocked. Though this was his first time hearing the term "martial artist," he could roughly infer its meaning from the context. This child actually wanted to become someone like the Sage of Six Paths from the legends—founding a school and turning Taijutsu into a "Body Sect"?

That dream was absurdly huge. He had thought Setsuna's greatest ambition would be becoming Hokage.

"Senior Setsuna's dream is that big?" Shizune was deeply surprised. When she glanced sideways at Guy, however, his reaction startled her.

Guy was so emotional that tears and snot streamed down his face, and the burning intensity in his eyes frightened her.

Shizune could not help wondering, was Guy's reaction really necessary?

"This is youth! Youth blooming without end! Big Brother Setsuna, I can feel the passion and steadfastness of your conviction! Let us create an era belonging to Taijutsu together!"

Guy waved his arms around and wailed at the top of his lungs, startling even Hizashi. Hizashi could not help grumbling inwardly, Why was this brat so jumpy?

"Ahem. It's your turn to introduce yourself." Hizashi looked at Guy, trying to steer the conversation back on track.

"My name is Might Guy. I am a Taijutsu ninja. My dream is to devote my youth, burn my youth, and live every day from now on without regrets. If I can build the Body Sect together with Big Brother Setsuna, that would be even better." Guy grinned and gave Hizashi a thumbs-up.

Hizashi nodded slightly and looked at Shizune.

Shizune took a deep breath and clenched her fists. "My name is Shizune. My dream is to become a medical ninja like Lady Tsunade... Well, I don't object to practicing Taijutsu either. Lady Tsunade once said that a medical ninja without the ability to protect herself is not a good medical ninja. Medical ninjas can fight too."

Hizashi nodded and said loudly, "For now, I only have a preliminary understanding of you. To help you coordinate better in the future, I will test you shortly. It will mainly assess your strength and teamwork."

When Guy heard that their strength would be tested, he instinctively recalled Jiraiya's miserable state. "Will Big Brother Setsuna participate too?"

Hizashi was puzzled by the question. "You are members of the same squad. Of course he will participate."

Guy hesitated, then spoke seriously after thinking it over several times. "Then, Teacher, you must be careful for your own safety."

Hizashi found that amusing. "It seems you still do not understand the gap between Genin and Jonin. Fight without restraint. Give it everything you have. Do not worry about hurting me."

Guy fell into thought. Teacher Hizashi must have heard about Big Brother Setsuna's strength from Lord Hokage. If he still dared to let Big Brother Setsuna go all out, perhaps he was an even stronger expert than Lord Jiraiya.

With that thought, Guy relaxed and nodded seriously. "We'll definitely give it our all!"

"Come on. We're heading to the forest behind the mountain."

Hizashi acted swiftly and decisively, soon bringing the three of them to a secluded forest. Birds chirped and cicadas buzzed, and the surroundings were peaceful.

"My test is simple. No matter what methods you use, hold out against me for three minutes. If you cannot even last that long, you should return to the Ninja Academy as soon as possible," Hizashi said with a cold expression. "Now, I will give you two minutes to discuss your strategy."

After saying that, he turned and walked away, seemingly making it clear that he would not eavesdrop on their discussion.

Shizune was extremely nervous. She did not want to be sent back to the Ninja Academy. "Senior, Guy, do either of you have any good ideas?"

"I've got one!" Guy raised his hand. "You and I will feint and draw Teacher's attention. Big Brother Setsuna will take the lead and seize an opportunity to launch a surprise attack."

"Huh? We're attacking proactively?" Shizune could not help asking. "The test is to last three minutes against Teacher Hizashi. Shouldn't we focus on hiding and defending ourselves?"

Guy grinned. "The best defense is offense. Even you didn't expect it, so Teacher Hizashi definitely won't expect us to attack proactively."

Shizune looked hopefully at Setsuna, wishing that this mature and steady senior would stop Guy's reckless idea.

However, Setsuna nodded slightly. "I agree with Guy's proposal."

Seeing Guy beam with delight, Shizune could not help doubting herself. Was I actually the strange one?
