"In the future, the cause of the Scarlet Crusade will be entrusted to her, Taelan, and the others. I also hope Knight Roderick can continue helping them."
Isillien was no longer the frightening Inquisitor he had once been. His words were full of the tone of someone making final arrangements. Though Roderick was not very old, in Isillien's eyes, he had already become someone worthy of trust, someone who could look after the Scarlet Crusade's younger generation.
"Lord Isillien, these young people may be outstanding, but they still need you to help point them toward the road ahead. Your experience is the most valuable asset the Scarlet Crusade possesses." Roderick still remembered the purpose of his visit: to keep this despairing Inquisitor from continuing to waste away.
"Haha, what use is my experience? I buried so many Scarlet elites, so many soldiers..." As he spoke, the agitated Isillien began coughing violently. The immense pain made his heart seize again, and it felt as though he might cough up his very organs.
"I can't do it. I'm already old. I'll find some secluded chapel to repent for my mistakes and pray for the Holy Light's blessings upon all the warriors." Once he had calmed down, Isillien spoke slowly.
He had already made plans for the rest of his life. The disheartened Inquisitor could no longer face the Scarlet soldiers who still lived.
"I never thought the famed Grand Inquisitor would be nothing more than a coward who wanted to run away at the
