Roderick's Warning

After arranging to meet Priest Isda the next day and return to Southshore together, Augustine and Roderick had a simple dinner before taking a stroll around the chapel.

Since arriving here, he had spent nearly every day in endless battle or training. Roderick had passed Light's Hope Chapel several times, always in a hurry. This was his first time carefully observing the Silver Dawn's headquarters.

This chapel paled not only beside the magnificent cathedral at Tyr's Hand, but even compared poorly to the old church in Southshore. The marks of time made it look exceedingly dilapidated.

Roderick truly could not understand why the Silver Dawn had placed its headquarters here. There was no defensive depth, no advantage of high ground, and plains stretched out in every direction. Undead soldiers often wandered nearby and could easily enter the chapel's defensive perimeter.

Though they were not especially deadly, having to clear out invading Undead every so often was still a great nuisance.

Augustine did not know the reason either. It was said to have something to do with the vast cemetery behind the chapel. By all rights, that graveyard should have been a place the Undead loved to stir up trouble, yet no Undead soldier had ever managed to enter it, nor did human soldiers need to guard it. In any case, it was quite strange.

The two slowly wandered to a camp some distance from the chapel. A huge tent had been erected there, its entrance decorated with many animal bones and tassels made from unknown plants, giving it an exotic air.

"May the Earth Mother watch over you, friends of humanity." A tall Tauren emerged from the tent and gently greeted the two as they stood at the entrance examining the decorations.

This friendly-looking Tauren stood more than ten feet
