The little puppy carried the blue crystal in its mouth and wobbled toward Dankū.
Bai Zhu still had his hand raised.
He had just been about to add another layer when Reiatsu had already seeped halfway out from his fingertips.

Milluki hugged the box and shrank back half a step.
"What are you going to do now?"
Bai Zhu stared at the little puppy.
"This thing might run into the wall."
Milluki followed his gaze.
On the other side of the barrier, the little puppy strolled along leisurely with the blue crystal in its mouth. It seemed as if its head had suddenly grown heavier; its steps drifted, like it could trip over itself at any moment.
Yet every dog behind it had lowered its head.
The Labrador lay flatter than any of them, its broken short spear placed before it.
The two Husky priests had their forepaws against the ground, and the blue stone chips around their necks had dimmed as well.
The bone-armored dog soldiers were even more exaggerated. They had put down their axes, their heads nearly buried in the black soil.
Milluki felt a chill crawl down his back.

"Yeah."
"This atmosphere isn't right."

The little puppy had already reached Dankū.
Bai Zhu held his breath.
The transparent barrier was still there. The dog pack had just smashed their heads bloody against it; there was no way this thing could suddenly vanish.
