Chapters 660–671 Vol. 7 Read

Ch. 660Tying Up Loose Ends

Ace coordinated the Revolutionary Army’s lockdown after the Nine Red Scabbards’ attack killed twenty-one comrades, while the Wano Country people were detained. Sabo and the surviving Scabbards confronted Leo in a packed meeting room, with Sabo carrying the weight of responsibility for the operation.

  • Ace organized the Revolutionary Army’s relief forces, sealed the streets, and had civilians and people dressed in Wano Country-style clothing detained in nearby buildings.
  • Ace learned that twenty-one Revolutionary Army members had been killed and ordered their bodies identified and their families notified.
  • Ace punched Sabo when they met outside Leo’s office, and Sabo accepted the blow before entering the meeting room.
  • Momonosuke, Kawamatsu, Kanjuro, Duke Inuarashi, Duke Nekomamushi, and angry Revolutionary Army Vice Admirals gathered in Leo’s meeting room with Sabo and Ace.
  • Momonosuke and three other Nine Red Scabbards were placed on the sofa as the gathering faced Leo.

Ch. 661What Should We Do with Momonosuke?

Leo explained that the Revolutionary Army’s losses were a foreseeable cost of war and that its leaders had underestimated the Nine Red Scabbards. After Sabo accepted responsibility for the deaths, Ace asked what to do with Momonosuke and the other captives.

  • Momonosuke lay bound on the carpet, shocked that Kanjuro had betrayed him and joined the Revolutionary Army.
  • A veteran questioned Leo about whether he had foreseen the deaths of twenty-one people, and Leo confirmed that he had.
  • Leo argued that war was a life-and-death struggle and that Momonosuke could have posed a danger despite being a child.
  • Leo reflected that the Revolutionary Army had underestimated the Nine Red Scabbards and their strategic judgment.
  • Sabo took responsibility for the twenty-one deaths, and Ace asked what they should do with the four captives.

Ch. 662Democracy

Leo put Momonosuke’s fate to a vote among the gathered Vice Admirals, and the majority chose execution. He sentenced Momonosuke to death, leaving Momonosuke and the bound Nine Red Scabbards stunned.

  • Enel called for Momonosuke to be killed, while Issho agreed that executing him would solve Wano Country’s problems and Jozu argued that killing a child was wrong.
  • Leo proposed a vote, asking the Vice Admirals to choose execution, opposition, or abstention.
  • Jozu and his allies stood against execution, while Enel, Ace, and others supported it; the remaining Vice Admirals abstained.
  • Leo counted twenty-nine votes against Momonosuke and nine in favor of sparing him, then sentenced Momonosuke to death.

Ch. 663A Bloodless Solution

Leo ordered Momonosuke and the Nine Red Scabbards executed in secret after the Vice Admirals voted against sparing them. Sabo explained how voting could resolve disagreements without bloodshed, but Ace questioned what would happen if the losing side refused to accept the result.

  • Momonosuke begged for his life, and Leo said the vote reflected democracy despite his earlier tacit deal with Hiyori to protect him.
  • When Momonosuke tried to bite Leo, Robin dislocated his jaw and carried him and the Nine Red Scabbards away.
  • Leo ordered their secret execution three days later and a mass grave with their names in Ringo.
  • Sabo pointed out that voting let equals settle disagreements peacefully instead of fighting.
  • Ace asked what would happen if those who lost a vote refused to accept its outcome.

Ch. 664Before the Final Offensive

Leo explained how a constitution could establish a legal baseline grounded in social consensus, and outlined how it could be amended and supported by simpler laws. The meeting ended with Sabo and the others thanking Leo for his lesson as they considered the weight of future votes.

  • Leo explained that debts must be repaid and murder answered with death, then asked how a vote should handle violations of such principles.
  • Sabo suggested drawing a line, and Leo clarified that the line should be a constitution grounded in social consensus.
  • Robin handed Leo’s constitutional draft to the group, who read it as Leo described careful amendments and supporting civil, criminal, and disciplinary laws.
  • Leo said laws should be clear and accessible, while litigation fees should discourage abuse of legal resources.
  • Leo described the vote on Momonosuke as a rehearsal for future constitutional voting and urged everyone to consider the consequences of their choices.
  • Sabo bowed to Leo and thanked him for the lesson, and the others stood and thanked him as well.

Ch. 665General Offensive

The Revolutionary Army completed its preparations on the Red Line and launched its assault on Mary Geoise. After breaking through the defenders, Sabo ordered the soldiers to free the slaves as the advance continued toward the heart of the holy land.

  • The Revolutionary Army built a fortified bridgehead at the foot of the Red Line and carved stairways toward Mary Geoise.
  • At Leo's command, Inazuma used his power to open new corridors, while Kuma removed his exhaustion so construction could continue.
  • Leo listened to battle reports aboard the flagship as the Revolutionary Army's main force advanced toward Mary Geoise.
  • Sabo led the assault through the outer defenses, where the Revolutionary Army quickly defeated or scattered the armored warriors.
  • The Revolutionary Army discovered slaves forced to power mechanical corridors, freed them, and charged toward the core of Mary Geoise.

Ch. 666Imu

The Revolutionary Army invaded Mary Geoise, prepared for a prolonged battle against Imu and focused on rescuing its captives and their families. Sabo and an elite squad reached the royal hall and confronted Imu.

  • Sabo led the Revolutionary Army into Mary Geoise after they prepared oxygen generators for the high-altitude city.
  • Revolutionary Army troops began rescuing slaves and families while others carried away the Celestial Dragons’ stolen wealth.
  • Sabo, Jozu, Katakuri, and the elite squad advanced toward the center of Mary Geoise.
  • Jozu and Katakuri opened the royal hall’s doors, revealing Imu seated above the swords of the twenty Celestial Dragon families.
  • Sabo shouted Imu’s name on behalf of the Revolutionary Army.

Ch. 667Backup Plan

Leo challenged Imu’s claim that the Celestial Dragons were superior and questioned what Imu remembered of his past, while Imu warned that the world would be destroyed if he did not take over. The Revolutionary Army began its planned assault on Imu in Mary Geoise.

  • Imu mocked the Revolutionary Army for having no king, and Sabo answered that their new government followed the people’s choice.
  • Through Sabo’s Den Den Mushi, Leo challenged Imu’s view of ordinary people and asked what he planned to do after being defeated.
  • Imu warned that the world would be destroyed unless Leo became him, then revealed his uncertainty about his past before insisting that he was a god and a Celestial Dragon.
  • Leo argued that Imu’s supposed superiority was a lie and urged the Revolutionary Army to prove it by defeating him.
  • Imu raised a massive amount of seawater, and Sabo called for Plan One as Ace, Sakazuki, and Owen unleashed heat to counter him.

Ch. 668Untitled Chapter

The Revolutionary Army demolished the palace to clear the steam as Ace and Sakazuki fought Imu, while Owen was forced to withdraw from the front line. Imu trapped Sakazuki in seawater and turned to face the Revolutionary Army’s next attack.

  • The Revolutionary Army accelerated its evacuation of ordinary people and capture of the Celestial Dragons after a steam explosion shook Mary Geoise.
  • Sabo ordered the palace torn down, and Dorry and the other Vice Admirals dismantled its pillars and walls to disperse the steam.
  • Owen faltered from the extreme heat, so Sabo carried him away from the battle to rest.
  • Imu unleashed a tsunami that swallowed Sakazuki, while Ace escaped by transforming into fire and flying upward.
  • Imu noticed a current of cold spreading toward him through the seawater, then shredded it with violently churning whirlpools.

Ch. 669Boring War

The Revolutionary Army used a planned war of attrition against Imu, whose Sea-Sea Fruit countered their Devil Fruit users. Sabo disrupted Imu’s control of the seawater, and the battle shifted into a prolonged positional struggle.

  • The Revolutionary Army’s generals followed their prepared plan as Kuzan froze the moving sea and Sakazuki held back rather than melt it.
  • Imu recognized the attrition strategy and claimed his Op-Op Fruit modifications gave him endless stamina, but a commander over the Den Den Mushi urged the generals to keep dragging out the fight.
  • Sabo told Kuzan to withdraw and used a tornado to lift Imu’s seawater into the sky.
  • The Revolutionary Army advanced as Imu struggled to control the sea, turning the battle into a drawn-out war of attrition.

Ch. 670Adding Fuel

Sabo’s tornado began draining Imu’s strength, but Imu summoned the sea through a hidden passage in the Red Line and scattered Sabo’s whirlwind. Sabo sent Inazuma, Marigold, and Moria to plug the passage while Kuzan attacked Imu, who prepared to face the Revolutionary Army with the sea at his command.

  • Sabo used Imu’s growing rotational momentum to keep the tornado going, and the Revolutionary Army began to see its chances of victory rise.
  • The Revolutionary Army continued evacuating Mary Geoise’s residents, whose supplies had dwindled after years of blockade.
  • Imu made the Red Line tremble and drew seawater through a hidden passage bored from the sea to the summit of Mary Geoise.
  • A column of water scattered Sabo’s whirlwind and forced him to retreat as seawater gathered in the sky.
  • Sabo ordered Inazuma, Marigold, and Moria to plug the passage while Kuzan attacked Imu, who used tiny whirlpools to obstruct Kuzan’s ice.

Ch. 671The End

Sabo, Sakazuki, Ace, and Inazuma worked together to stop Imu and trap him inside a superheated Fire Tornado, where the seawater that sustained him evaporated. After lightning flashed and the tornado dispersed, Imu had vanished; the author then apologized for the rushed ending and announced that revisions and new-book updates would be posted on a public account.

  • Inazuma sealed the tunnels beneath Imu, dividing the seawater column and blocking its flow through the mountain.
  • Sabo called for the attack, and Sabo, Sakazuki, and Ace struck Imu together as Kuzan stopped.
  • Sabo and Ace formed a Fire Tornado that trapped Imu and heated the seawater into vapor.
  • Sakazuki fought Imu inside the tornado while the heat gathered the vapor into storm clouds above.
  • The Fire Tornado dispersed after a flash of lightning, and Imu was gone.
  • The author apologized for the rushed ending and said revisions and new-book updates would appear on a public account.
