Rogge hadn't expected to be sent to invite that unlucky bastard Gecko Moria. But he had nothing better to do, and he wanted to try Kuma's delivery service. He might as well meet the famous Shichibukai he'd never seen in person.

Come to think of it, Rogge had always found Moria's surname a little strange. "Moonlight"—and then there were the people whose corpses he collected.

Ryuma, Wano Country's sword god; Captain John of the Rocks Pirates; Ochoku; and Silver Axe. Moria had gotten his hands on all four of their bodies and turned them into zombies.

That pointed to a clash with Kaido in Wano Country years ago. After all his men died, Moria fled deeper into Wano Country, where he stole Ryuma's corpse and sword from Ringo.

Reverse the characters of Moria's surname, and "Moonlight" became "Kozuki"—the surname of Wano Country's shogun. It was hard not to wonder who Moria really was.

Rogge didn't dwell on it for long. In front of Marine Headquarters, Kuma gave him a slap.

Rogge didn't go flying. He remained by the entrance, though he slid back some distance.

"So that's how it works," Rogge muttered.

"Don't resist. You're strong, and your Haki canceled out my repelling force," Kuma said.

Rogge had only wanted to test Kuma's ability. His Devil Fruit was certainly powerful, but it wasn't some unbeatable cheat. Rogge's Chop-Chop Fruit could shatter anything in theory, yet against an enemy with strong defenses, he could only inflict minor damage.

If Kuma's palm could send anyone flying without fail and keep them airborne for three days, it would be far too invincible. Clearly, that only worked when there was a huge gap in strength.
