"You're giving me too much credit. I'm still a little short," Rogge said, shaking his head.
Rogge knew his own limits. Had they kept fighting, Akainu probably would have worn him down and killed him. He could tell that Akainu had been planning a battle of attrition. If Akainu had only wanted to teach him a lesson, he could have gone all out, attacking recklessly without a care for his own life.
