This was Rogge's third clash with Kaido, but the first time he had truly fought seriously. Rogge now intended to kill him. He had originally thought Kaido might prove useful in the final battle.
Now it seemed that, despite his supposedly undying body, the man was terrified of death-utterly terrified. His opening leap from Sky Island had merely been a way to go deal with Kid.
Kaido had been accustomed to fighting alone. Of course, once he tasted the benefits of having plenty of subordinates, he started recruiting them too. Kid had been one of his targets, but Kid would never become his subordinate. Despite his fierce appearance, a calculating ambition lay beneath that tough exterior.

Rogge looked at Kaido with a broad smile, simply watching him.
The smile on Rogge's face instantly stoked Kaido's anger. He hated people smiling at him like that, and he hated anyone being stronger than him even more.
"Roar!"
Kaido's head suddenly transformed into a dragon's head as he partially transformed. He opened his mouth and blasted Bolo Breath at Rogge.

Rogge's body suddenly shattered, turning to ash!
"Is he dead?" Orochi stared wide-eyed from the side. Seeing Rogge scattered across the ground, he thought Kaido had killed him.
Kaido, however, froze for a moment. Then something occurred to him, and his eyes widened in horror.
"This guy was one of the Four Emperors too? He didn't seem all that strong. I thought he'd be much tougher. Kaido, let's stop wasting time. Hurry up and kill Kozuki Momonosuke, then we can rule Wano Country again!" Kurozumi Orochi said gleefully.
"Get lost!"
Kaido turned and roared at Orochi.
