"Wow! ♡"
"So beautiful~~ ♡"
"I want this one!! ♡♡"
Almost no Celestial Dragons could escape Shakuyaku's beautiful allure.
Even for these Celestial Dragons, who were never short of beautiful women and had seen and tasted it all, Shakuyaku's beauty was breathtaking.
"Of course you want her! I want her too! Too bad I'm not a contestant!"
Looking down at the enthusiastic Celestial Dragons beneath the platform, the host's face also broke into a lecherous grin.
"But she has been kept under strict protection since acquisition! An untainted 'first-class item'! Only the winner of this tournament can have her!"
Unlike those filthy slaves, not a speck of dirt could be seen on Shakuyaku. Even her clothes had been carefully selected and arranged.
The fact that the Celestial Dragons valued her so highly, even treating her with tender care, was enough to show just how extraordinary Shakuyaku was.
That overwhelming gap in beauty was visible to the naked eye.
This world was not lacking in stunningly beautiful women, but Shakuyaku was different.
Every inch of her skin, every strand of her hair, seemed to shine with light, speaking of graceful and noble beauty. That sense of atmosphere—or perhaps temperament—could not be found in any other woman.
That was why Shakuyaku stood out among beauties across the entire world and was called "the most beautiful."
"This is the best~ Somaz! Win it and bring her back to Shepherd House!"
A Celestial Dragon called out to Somaz of God's Knights.
"What nonsense are you talking about? If I win, she'll obviously become my slave!" Somaz said.
Other members of God's Knights stood in the same area as Somaz.
Hearing Somaz's declaration, Garling said coolly, "She's my wife. Keep dreaming, Somaz."
Garling had specifically ordered this wife from pirates, so he regarded her as already his and would not allow anyone else to lay a hand on her.
Though she was a prize for this tournament, in Garling's eyes, that was merely a formality meant to add some excitement to the event.
No one but him could possibly win this tournament. The same went for Shakuyaku—no one but him would have her.
For that reason, he had even disposed of the red-haired woman who had just borne him two children, merely because he felt she would make Shakuyaku jealous.
Naturally, all of that was nothing more than Garling's wishful thinking.
"Gunko! With you here, we might even take the trophy in the Clan War!"
The other members of God's Knights joined the conversation as well.
"These are the Davy Clan~~~!!!"
Meanwhile, Shakuyaku had already been taken off the platform. The next to appear were twelve tall, muscular, heavily furred natives. The Celestial Dragon host excitedly announced their identities, stirring the Celestial Dragons into an uproar.
"A despised race! That's what you are!"
"Despised for generation after generation!!"
"You're Buccaneers, aren't you!? You lot!!"
"Wipe them out! Leave none alive!!"
"It's dangerous to let these people live!!"
"If we can exterminate them completely, today will be a historic day! A day of celebration!!"
According to the education these Celestial Dragons had received, the Davy Clan, like the Buccaneer Tribe, was a deeply hated race that had left an indelible stain on history. They were criminals, a despicable race that had attempted to seize power.
Though that history was merely what the Celestial Dragons considered correct history, rather than the truth, whether it was true did not matter. What mattered was that it was clearly recorded in books about history and was the only version officially recognized.
Axes, swords, and other lethal weapons were hurled toward the platform by the Celestial Dragons, like rotten eggs and spoiled vegetables thrown by hateful crowds at condemned criminals being paraded through the streets before their execution in ancient times.
"Wait! It's not time yet! Please don't throw knives! If any Davy Clan members die because of this, you'll be penalized! Wahahaha!"
The Celestial Dragon host spoke up to stop the Celestial Dragons below the platform.
He did not care about the lives of the Davy Clan. It would not matter if they died, and he even wanted to do the same himself. But as the host of the tournament, he still had an obligation to remind the contestants.
"I can't believe you found them, Garling. A race that's been hidden for eight hundred years."
"All I can say is, it was 'fate.'"
Saturn and Garling stood together, watching the scene with deep emotion.
For the Celestial Dragons, today was a historic occasion. Even God's Knights and the Five Elders, lofty as they were, felt the same way.
The Davy Clan was a race that had nearly taken the world in the past. They were an existence that had to be eliminated.
As for why they had to be eliminated, it was naturally because of that unbearable past.
After introducing the Davy Clan, the host began introducing the true stars of this tournament.
"Next, please allow me to introduce the 'favorites to win' in the 'individual event'~~!"
So-called "favorites to win" simply meant the leading contenders for the championship.
Every one of them was an elite among the Celestial Dragons, either a member of God's Knights or one of God's Blades. The most popular among them was Garling of the Figarland Family.
His name had been translated in many different ways—Garling, Gring, and Garlingu—but they all referred to him.
Next was Gunko, one of God's Blades.
After introducing the favorites to win, the host explained the tournament's specific rules.
This Human Hunting Tournament, or Native Cleansing Tournament, would last for three weeks and end after those three weeks had passed.
There were two hundred Celestial Dragon contestants participating in the tournament and roughly one hundred thousand natives known as Escape Rabbits.
There were also one hundred and fifty Rare Escape Rabbits—problem slaves transported from Mary Geoise.
Finally, there were thirteen Ultra-Rare Escape Rabbits—slaves from the Davy Clan and the Buccaneer Tribe.
Hunting Escape Rabbits of different ranks earned corresponding points. The contestant with the highest score after three weeks would be the winner of this tournament.
"Don't decide something like this on your own! They're my people!"
Just as the host enthusiastically began explaining the event's details, the King of God Valley, who had been tied up nearby, suddenly rose up in resistance.
However, he did not struggle for long before someone acted without hesitation and killed the unfortunate king.
"Oh dear! Please wait a moment! How could you kill the king of the natives?" The host had no time to stop it. The king had already fallen to the ground, and he could only look regretfully at the corpse.
"This was one of the pleasures of this tournament! We won't get to enjoy the pain of the natives' king watching his people die one after another! Penalty!"
"Favorite to win, Saint Garling's points—will begin at negative ten thousand!"
For any other contestant, this would undoubtedly have been a disastrous start.
But Garling did not care in the slightest and made his declaration: "It's better to have a handicap of that level. If it's too easy, there's no fun in it."
"Even starting from negative ten thousand points, I won't lose!"
