Kane was quite satisfied with how quickly and decisively Saint Andel had surrendered. He even thoughtfully sat beside him in the carriage.
On the way to the third slave warehouse, Saint Andel cooperated fully and took the initiative to drive away the patrolling soldiers.
He was even afraid Kane would be dissatisfied, so when he whipped those patrol soldiers, he put in far more effort than he ever had when whipping slaves.
With his cooperation, Kuma sent away another two thousand or so slaves.
Seeing Kuma panting heavily, Kane decisively stopped him from continuing to rescue slaves.
But Kuma firmly refused and even asked Ivankov to inject him with hormones that would stimulate his potential.
Kane could only bring up Ginny to persuade him.
"After we find Ginny, you can rescue them however you want. But right now, you have to rest for a while.
"Or do you want Ginny to see a guy who needs help just to walk, then have her carry you while she escapes?
"So without my permission, you'd better sit obediently in the carriage and rest!"
Kuma could only obediently get into the carriage and make the most of the time to recover his strength.
After settling Kuma down, Kane sensed that his four clones had reached their designated positions. He grabbed Saint Andel by the collar, yanked him before him, and asked coldly,
"Where is Jewelry Ginny?"
"Uh... who?"
Saint Andel shuddered in fear, curling himself up tightly with a frightened, bewildered expression on his face.
Kuma immediately grew tense, and Ivankov outside the carriage became restless as well, repeatedly glancing inside.
But Kane was not surprised. He had expected that the Celestial Dragon they had captured on the spot might not know Ginny, so he changed his question.
"A year ago, you captured a Revolutionary Army officer. Who took her away in the end?"
Saint Andel blinked blankly, but under the threat of death, he swiftly dug up the relevant memory and answered urgently,
"I remember now! That pink-haired Revolutionary Army woman!"
Kuma's eyes instantly widened as he stared at Saint Andel, while Ivankov anxiously thrust his head into the carriage.
Kane shoved Ivankov back out and stared at Saint Andel.
"Yes, her. Who took her away?"
"Saint Saturn! He was taken away by Saint Saturn!"
Kane's expression turned grave. He had never expected the one who took Ginny away to be Saint Saturn, one of the Five Elders.
But after thinking it over carefully, Kane felt that this made sense.
Fisher Tiger had freed thousands of slaves, and even the Pirate Empress had escaped amid the chaos.
Yet Ginny had failed to escape. That showed that even in such utter chaos, she had not found an opportunity to get away.
However, this news nearly broke Kuma. If Ginny had been taken as a wife by a Celestial Dragon, he felt he might still have had a chance to save her.
But now, the one who had taken Ginny was one of the Five Elders—Saint Saturn, the same man who had nearly killed him at God Valley. He instantly fell into despair.
Yet when he instinctively looked toward Kane, he discovered that Kane merely frowned without showing any troubled expression. Hope immediately surged in his heart.
"Kane, Ginny, she..."
"Don't worry. There's still a chance."
Kane patted Kuma on the shoulder, then looked at Saint Andel and continued asking,
"Does Saint Saturn need slaves too? What does he want slaves for?"
"Experiments. He uses slaves for experiments!"
Saint Andel hurriedly answered,
"He has his own private laboratory. He regularly selects strong, healthy slaves and performs all kinds of experiments on them.
"That Jewelry... Ginny was personally taken to the laboratory by him."
"Where is his laboratory?" Kane pressed.
Saint Andel quickly gave him a location and even thoughtfully pointed out the exact direction.
Kane committed it firmly to memory, then asked,
"I know you have some Devil Fruit users as slaves. Where are they being held?"
"They..."
Saint Andel hesitated, but under Kane's icy gaze, he quickly gave up resisting and decisively provided the answer Kane needed.
Kane took a deep breath and looked at Kuma.
"Have you rested enough? There might not be any time to rest after this."
"Don't worry."
Kuma nodded with a resolute gaze. His longing for Ginny had never been stronger.
Ivankov outside the carriage was also boiling with excitement, his heavy breathing making his faceplate tremble.
"Then let's begin."
The moment Kane finished speaking, the four clones he had scattered throughout Mary Geoise moved at once.
Their arms transformed into flamethrowers, spewing blazing fire that pounced in every direction like fire dragons.
In an instant, the flames became like hungry beasts, devouring everything they could reach and rapidly growing stronger.
Weapon warehouses, slave warehouses, shops, theaters, and more—building after building was swallowed by the spreading inferno, becoming fuel for its growth.
Kane did not know how Fisher Tiger had started his fires, but he believed that four people setting fires at once had to be more effective than one.
Kane's four clones kept darting through Mary Geoise, their flamethrower arms continuously spraying flames in all directions.
The fires quickly drew the attention of the patrolling soldiers. They shouted as they ran about, calling for their companions to put out the flames.
But the infernos Kane had deliberately ignited were not so easily extinguished. With more and more fires breaking out, the soldiers were run ragged.
In the end, they could only retreat again and again before the increasingly violent blaze, finally realizing in despair that everything they did was futile.
The rapidly spreading flames illuminated Mary Geoise beneath the night sky. Kane could even smell the scorching stench of burning in the wind blowing into the carriage.
"We're here. Get out."
At Kane's command, he stepped out of the carriage first, with Kuma following close behind.
Saint Andel, left in the carriage, immediately let out a breath of relief and panted heavily in lingering fear.
Then, two arms suddenly grew from the carriage wall behind him and mercilessly snapped his neck.
A dead Celestial Dragon was a good Celestial Dragon...
Kane sneered inwardly and headed straight for the prison holding the Devil Fruit user slaves.
The Devil Fruit user prison was guarded far more heavily than other places, but it could not stop Kane when he went all out.
The Flower-Flower Fruit and Arms-Arms Fruit activated together. Before the soldiers outside the prison could even react, all sorts of weapons that suddenly appeared pierced through their bodies.
The sight directly stunned Kuma and Ivankov.
They had inferred that Kane was a Devil Fruit user and had constantly speculated about his power, but Kane's displays kept overturning their guesses again and again.
A Logia?
A Paramecia?
A Zoan?
Countless possibilities surfaced in their minds, only to be rejected. In the end, they could only guess that it was some rare Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit ability.
After breaking open the prison gates, Kane mercilessly killed every guard and swept his gaze across the cells.
More than a dozen people were imprisoned here. Perhaps because they were of higher value, they bore no obvious wounds and lived in relatively decent conditions.
But each of them was firmly shackled with Seastone cuffs, their faces filled with despair, pain, or hatred.
Kane's appearance drew their attention, and the guards' gruesome deaths made hope bloom in their eyes.
Ivankov was already familiar with the rescue process and quickly found the keys to the cells and Seastone shackles on the chief guard's corpse.
Kane's gaze settled on one particular cell. He had found the people he was looking for.
It was a clean, tidy cell. Three girls wearing Seastone shackles huddled together, watching Kane, who had broken into the prison, with both wariness and hope.
Is he here to save us...?
He killed the guards... so he must be, right...?
Please... let him be...
Boa Hancock anxiously shielded her two younger sisters behind her. Light flickered in her large eyes, her pupils trembling uncontrollably as her pale hands instinctively clenched tight.
She was observing Kane, and Kane was observing her as well.
Though Hancock, the future woman known as the most beautiful pirate in the world, was far from having the maturity she would possess ten years later, the beginnings of her beauty were already apparent.
Her tall figure was curvaceous, and her fair skin was like milk, complementing the satin-like black hair draped over her shoulders.
Her eyes were large, yet their corners were slender and delicate. Her dark pupils resembled carefully polished obsidian.
Beneath her high, elegant nose was a small, exquisite tip. A beautiful philtrum connected to her soft lips, pink and flawless, without even the slightest crease upon closer inspection.
She stood tensely on a pair of deadly long legs, her stunning figure displayed to the fullest.
Hancock and Kane's gazes met through his faceplate and the prison bars. Both knew the other was looking at them, yet neither looked away until Ivankov opened the cell.
"You're free! Hee-haw!"
Ivankov shouted excitedly as he removed the Seastone shackles from everyone.
Kane walked up to the Hancock sisters and said in a low voice,
"Come with me."
The three Hancock sisters looked at one another, their eyes filled with the excitement and confusion of suddenly regained freedom. At his words, they instinctively followed Kane out of the prison.
The other rescued Devil Fruit users looked at one another. Their hatred for the Celestial Dragons ignited into raging flames, and they shouted as they rushed out of the prison.
Some began destroying everything recklessly. Some hid themselves away, preparing to assassinate Celestial Dragons. Others ran toward the outskirts, intending to return and take revenge in the future.
Kane watched them scatter, his gaze lingering briefly on the three Hancock sisters.

The sudden flashing words made Kane's breathing stop for an instant. He forcefully suppressed the turmoil in his heart and looked toward Saint Saturn's laboratory.
Ginny was all that remained!
