Ch. 41Kuma

Kane traveled with Cuckoo to the Red Line, then rested at Tsuru's temporary camp while his Flower Clone met Ivankov and Kuma nearby. As Kuma hinted at his past on the Red Line, he sensed that Kane seemed to know many things about him.

  • Kane carried Cuckoo toward the Red Line, and the two teased each other before she threw herself at him in the sky.
  • Kane woke from the memory as Hina called him off the Bubble Cable Car, and the group reached Tsuru's camp to rest.
  • Kane kept watch by the campfire while Robin and then Cuckoo fell asleep leaning against him.

Ch. 42Ambush

  • Tsuru warned Kane about the danger of traveling near Mary Geoise and cautioned him that Doflamingo might have contacted other forces.
  • Kane let Hina sleep past her requested wake-up time, then set out with the convoy and slept in Robin’s carriage.
  • Kane spotted armed attackers disguised as cargo drivers, shot two of them, and helped the Marines defeat the ambush.
  • Kane berated the Marines for failing to notice the attackers, ordered punishments and casualty reports, and directed them to keep three assailants alive.
  • Kane sensed someone observing the convoy from the forest, made a throat-slitting gesture, and watched a scorching wind pass without the observer appearing.

Ch. 43Keeping Watch

Oven and Opera prepared to rescue Doflamingo, while Kane’s Marine convoy traveled safely and made camp. During the night watch, Kane comforted Hina and Hans, then left Hina keeping watch by the campfire.

  • Oven and Opera discussed Perospero’s order to rescue Doflamingo and waited for Counter and three others to arrive.
  • Kane moved the convoy out after ten minutes, and the alert Marines exposed and captured disguised pirates before continuing without incident.
  • After the Marines camped for the night, Kane left the exhausted Hans on patrol as punishment while Hina took the watch.
  • Hina felt disappointed when Kane started to leave, but he returned with a box of watermelon lollipops and sat beside her.

  • Hina watched Kane enter his tent and enjoyed a watermelon lollipop beside the campfire.

Ch. 44An Unexpected Ambush

Kane’s group camped near Mary Geoise, where he spent the night with Cuckoo before detecting a Big Mom crew ambush. He captured Counter and confronted Oven as another Kane pursued Opera, leaving Oven’s rescue attempt in disarray.

  • Kane appeared beside the injured Counter and threatened Oven, who offered to abandon the rescue in exchange for his brothers’ release.
  • A battered Opera fled into view as another Kane chased him, and Oven realized a second Kane had arrived.

Ch. 45Repelling the Enemy

Kane repelled Oven and Opera, forcing them to retreat with a warning for Perospero. Afterward, Kane shared a private moment with Cuckoo and later taunted Doflamingo in Tsuru’s prison carriage.

  • Kane fought Oven while four of his clones surrounded Oven and Opera, and Opera stopped Oven from attacking because Counter and the others were still in Kane’s custody.
  • Kane told Oven and Opera that Perospero had to answer for sending them to attack Navy personnel and warned that he would settle accounts with him in Totto Land; Opera agreed to relay the message.
  • Kane allowed Opera to carry away the wounded Counter and his brothers, and Oven and Opera left the camp.
  • Cuckoo kissed Kane before dawn, and Kane later reported the incident to Tsuru, who praised him and promised to handle any retaliation from Perospero.
  • Kane joined Tsuru in Doflamingo’s prison carriage, provoked Doflamingo with his behavior, and left after Tsuru dismissed him.

Ch. 46Infiltrating Mary Geoise

Kane entered Mary Geoise with Kuma and Ivankov to search for Ginny, using Kuma’s ability and Ivankov’s hormones to evade notice. After they reached the city and disguised themselves as patrol soldiers, the group continued deeper into Mary Geoise.

  • Kane camped near the Red Line and told Robin to watch the next day’s newspaper.
  • Hina accidentally gave Kane the lollipop she had been sucking, and her favorability reached 63, allowing him to replicate the Barrier-Barrier Fruit again.
  • Kane met Ivankov and Kuma in the forest, and Ivankov used Body Modification Hormones to shrink himself and Kuma.
  • Kuma used his paw-pad ability to transport Kane, Ivankov, and himself into a secluded alley in Mary Geoise.
  • Kane mapped the area with bat mouths and ears, then led the group through patrol routes without being seen.
  • Ivankov knocked out three patrol soldiers with Sleep Hormones, and Kane took their armor for the group to wear.

Ch. 47Freeing the Slaves

Kane, Kuma, and Ivankov stole weapons and freed more than a thousand slaves in Mary Geoise as they prepared to rescue Ginny and throw the city into chaos. They encountered Saint Andel abusing a mermaid, and Kane seized the Celestial Dragon to force him to serve as their guide.

  • Kane led Kuma and Ivankov through three weapons warehouses, where Kuma gathered the weapons and Kane destroyed barrels of premium fuel.
  • Kane reasoned that Ginny was alive but imprisoned and monitored, and explained that they needed to create massive chaos to reach her.
  • Kane and Ivankov used their abilities to kill guards and free more than a thousand slaves from a warehouse.
  • Kane led Kuma and Ivankov toward another slave warehouse, where they heard a Celestial Dragon whipping a silver-haired mermaid.

Ch. 49A Door Apart

Kane and his allies searched Saint Saturn’s laboratory for Jewelry Ginny while Kane’s clones spread fires across Mary Geoise to create a diversion. Hancock led them to Ginny’s room, where Kane prepared to break through a massive Seastone door without setting off its alarm.

  • Saint Saturn ordered the guards to suppress the unrest, and an armored man organized a hunt for Kane and the escaped Devil Fruit users.
  • A member of God’s Knights, Saint Somaz, found one of Kane’s clones, who stalled him with talk before being trapped inside a thorn cage.
  • Kane, Ivankov, and Kuma searched the laboratory’s passcode-locked rooms, while the doors blocked their Observation Haki.
  • Hancock recognized Jewelry Ginny’s name and led the group to an infirmary, where Kuma discovered that the door was made of Seastone.
  • Kane chilled the door with a white mist from his Snow-Snow Fruit powers, then raised a Haki-coated meteor hammer to smash it.

Ch. 50Saint Saturn

Kane and his allies rescued Ginny and the other experimental subjects from Saint Saturn’s laboratory, learning that the Celestial Dragons planned to test whether Ginny’s resistance to Azure Jade Scales could be inherited. Saint Saturn blocked their escape, and Kane fought to hold him off while Kuma led the others toward safety; during the battle, Boa Hancock’s favorability toward Kane reached 62.

  • Kane’s group found Ginny unconscious in the laboratory, and Kuma and Ivankov reunited with her as she woke and realized they had rescued her.
  • Kane removed Ginny’s tubes and carried her out with Kuma and the others, explaining her Azure Jade Scales and the Celestial Dragons’ plan to test whether her resistance could be inherited by her child.
