"Rustle, rustle~~~"
Hovering low in the sky, Kaido suddenly heard a faint rustling behind him.
He immediately wheeled around, his slit pupils fixed on the forest beyond the shore.
But the sound vanished, and nothing around him looked out of the ordinary.
Even so, the frustration in Kaido's chest had not diminished in the slightest.
"Come out! I saw you!" Kaido bellowed.
With that, he opened his dragon maw and blasted a Bolo Breath toward the forest.
"Rumble~~"
Flames swept across the ground, swallowing the trees in an instant.
"Burp~"
After breathing fire, Kaido belched. Waves of heat and lingering flames spilled onto the ground, and he shook his massive dragon head in satisfaction.
"How boring... Maybe I should go pick a fight with Shiki?"
Kaido still remembered very clearly how he had been screwed over in that game.
Suddenly.
Just as he was about to leave, a figure darted out from the edge of the burning flames.
The figure crashed onto the beach, rolled twice, and stopped with his face pressed into the sand.
He was covered in dried blood. Most of his clothes had burned away, and only a few strands of hair remained, charred black and plastered to his scalp.
"Hey, who are you?" Kaido called loudly.
Kong lay motionless on the ground, even keeping his breathing as shallow as possible.
He was playing dead. Nobody would be interested in a corpse.
But inwardly, he had already cursed Kaido a thousand times over. He had finally managed to escape to the shore and wanted to find a ship to leave Amazon Lily, only for Kaido to destroy every last one.
"Dead? Hey, bastard! I'm talking to you!" Seeing no response, Kaido raised his voice even louder.
