As the Marines, the Revolutionary Army, and the Holy Land secretly vied against one another,

the seas of the New World were unusually calm.

Waves gently lapped against the hull as a submarine bearing a smiling-face flag slowly sailed along the edge of a storm.

On deck, several crew members in matching work uniforms were checking medicine chests and securing stretchers.

At the bow,

Trafalgar Law leaned against the railing, looking down at intelligence on the surrounding area.

He had not become a pirate.

The influence of Corazon and Sengoku, coupled with the increasingly mature Adventure Group System, had ultimately led him to choose the sea as a doctor.

The Heart Adventure Group.

They mainly took on difficult disease treatments, medical support for shipwrecks, hostage rescues, dangerous island rescue operations, and medical supply escorts.

They were not famous for defeating powerful enemies.

Yet they were the flag many merchant ships and remote islands in the New World most hoped to see.

Marine Headquarters.

Sengoku, who was about to retire, sat in his office with a cup of tea that had long gone cold beside him.

On the other end of the Den Den Mushi was Corazon's smiling voice.

"Law saved another island a few days ago."

"I heard the doctors there had been ready to give up. He performed surgery for more than ten hours straight."

The corners of Sengoku's mouth rose despite himself.

"That brat had been more stubborn than anyone since he was little."

"How's his health?"

"Not bad. He just refuses to rest properly."

Corazon paused.

"Just like a certain old man when he was young."

Sengoku's face darkened.

"Who are you talking about?"

The Den Den Mushi immediately played dumb.

"Bad signal."

"I didn't say anything."

Sengoku snorted, but he did not hang up.
