The sea breeze swept across the coast again, carrying the salty tang of blood.
No one moved.
Teach stared Shanks down. His mouth slowly spread into a grin, baring uneven teeth.
"Zehahaha... Shanks."
"Mary Geoise is tearing itself apart. Why aren't you up there joining the fun? What are you doing down here waiting for me?"
Shanks held Griffin at his side and advanced, each step steady.
"You can read this complete chapter at the original site."
"I can't stop the people up there."
He raised his eyes. Black-and-red Conqueror's Haki was already flickering along his blade.
"But you? I can still try."
Teach's grin faded a little.
In the next instant, he slammed his right hand against the ground.
"Black Vortex!"
Boom!
Pure darkness spread beneath his feet in an instant, swallowing the ground like a rising tide.
Rubble, broken timber, Sanjuan Wolf, and everything else were dragged toward its center by that terrifying pull.
At almost the same moment, Teach raised his left fist. A white shockwave wrapped around it.
"Sea Tremor!"
Crack!
The air fractured inch by inch like a mirror, and the entire coast suddenly sank.
Bedrock split. Seawater surged in, throwing up huge waves that threatened to swallow the whole battlefield.
Teach had no intention of taking it slow.
He meant to tear a hole in the encirclement first.
But Shanks took a single step forward, and black-and-red lightning instantly coiled around Griffin.
"Overlord Slash: Sky Splitter!"
Boom!
A blade of light slashed straight ahead, Conqueror's Haki exploding from its edge.
The shockwave was torn apart down the middle. Even the darkness blanketing the ground was split open by the strike.
Teach's pupils contracted as the sword energy grazed his chest.
Slash!
A wound deep enough to expose bone split open, and blood sprayed out.
