Bang!
A deafening crash rang out, like a heavy artillery shell slamming into the ground and instantly blasting a horrifying crater into the pavement. It was three or four in the morning, and the streets were silent and deserted. No one witnessed the shocking scene.
But the ear-splitting boom reverberated through several streets like thunder.
By the time people hurried over to investigate, the area was a complete mess, while Yun Ming had vanished without a trace.
Boom!
Another thunderous crash sounded. Yun Ming fixed his piercing gaze on a cash machine.
With a flick of his hand, an invisible force instantly tore open the cash machine's casing. Banknotes fluttered out like snowflakes as the machine was violently flung aside.
The wiring inside the wall immediately sparked, and large amounts of cash lay scattered everywhere.
Yun Ming casually scooped up a stack of bills and strode toward a nearby five-star hotel.
"Sir, please show your identification," the receptionist requested politely.
Yun Ming answered bluntly, "No."
He had crossed into this world in the flesh, and the system had given him very little. He had never even seen something like identification.
"Sir, without identification, we cannot check you in," the receptionist said awkwardly.
Yun Ming's gaze immediately turned cold. He raised a hand, and a burst of Qi Strength shot out, instantly shredding the receptionist's clothes to pieces, leaving only her underwear.
The receptionist stared at Yun Ming in shock, then looked down at her exposed upper body and covered her chest in terror.
"Ah!"
A shrill scream rang through the lobby. The receptionist collapsed to the floor, clutching her chest as she stared fearfully at Yun Ming.
"Don't make me use force. Get me a room now," Yun Ming said coldly.
The receptionist trembled all over and hurriedly nodded.
The next day, dawn broke bright and clear.
Yun Ming stood by the window, looking down at the street below. Police cars filled the road, and armed personnel stood ready in full gear. Extending his senses beyond the room, he also detected many people in black watching from the shadows.
"I knew this would happen." Yun Ming chuckled, a hint of disdain on his face.
When he had forced the hotel to give him a room last night, he had already anticipated today's situation. Since he had chosen to act without restraint, he naturally had nothing to fear.
"Bring me every dish your hotel has. Don't leave out a single one." Yun Ming called the hotel front desk, his tone carrying an unquestionable dominance, as though he did not care whether the person answering was even a hotel employee.
Half an hour later, the doorbell rang.
Yun Ming extended his senses slightly and immediately caught three familiar presences.
"Lian Feng, Qiang Wei, Ge Xiaolun?" Yun Ming narrowed his eyes slightly, a trace of confusion rising in his heart.
He did not go to open the door himself. Instead, he used Inner Force to gently push the door open from afar.
"Where's my food?"
The moment the three entered the room, they heard Yun Ming wink at them and ask teasingly.
"The food you requested will be delivered shortly," Lian Feng, dressed in a dark red military uniform, replied steadily.
Her gaze swept around the room, as though she were searching for something.
Ge Xiaolun stared blankly at Yun Ming, his eyes full of shock.
Qiang Wei, meanwhile, looked icy, her eyes brimming with intense killing intent.
She glared at Yun Ming, her fierce gaze seeming as though it wanted to tear him apart.
"Sir, haven't you gone a little too far?" Lian Feng sat on the sofa opposite Yun Ming and spoke calmly. Though her voice was not loud, it carried unquestionable authority.
"Putting aside what happened before, you just destroyed a cash machine, took over a hundred thousand in cash, and forced the hotel receptionist to get you a room. Aren't you being far too reckless?"
Yun Ming smiled faintly. "What was I supposed to do if I had no money?"
Ge Xiaolun immediately cut in, "That still doesn't mean you can rob a cash machine. If you don't have money, you can earn it."
Yun Ming looked at Ge Xiaolun as though he were an idiot and sneered. "Where was I supposed to earn it? Besides, wasn't I earning it right now?"
"That's robbery!" Ge Xiaolun said firmly.
Yun Ming gave him an indifferent glance. "Robbery? Every rich person in this world gets their money by robbing others. I merely used a different method. And I didn't kill anyone. Isn't that rather commendable?"
Ge Xiaolun was left speechless by Yun Ming's words. He stared at Yun Ming with wide eyes, seemingly unable to comprehend his logic.
The three of them felt that Yun Ming's way of thinking was utterly absurd.
They exchanged looks, an indescribable feeling rising within them.
"You're twisting words." Lian Feng frowned, displeasure in her voice.
"So a small evil is no longer evil? Haven't you heard the saying, 'Do not commit evil simply because it is small'?" Qiang Wei retorted angrily, her voice full of reproach.
"That's right." Ge Xiaolun nodded in agreement, supporting Qiang Wei's view.
Yun Ming casually crossed one leg over the other, the corner of his mouth curling into a cold smile. "Then give me a few hundred million, and I guarantee I won't set my sights on banks again."
"Do you think you deserve that?" Qiang Wei glared at him coldly. "You should be in prison. No, you should be executed outright. You even caused the deaths of so many innocent people."
"I already told you, I didn't mean to." Yun Ming's face darkened. He was thoroughly disgusted by the matter. "You keep harping on it. That does no one any good."
"Harping on it?" Lian Feng frowned, cutting Qiang Wei off. She took a deep breath and spoke to Yun Ming as calmly as she could. "Fine. We acknowledge that you did not do it intentionally."
"Aunt Lian Feng, that was nineteen lives!" Qiang Wei immediately protested.
"Exactly." Ge Xiaolun also chimed in. "How can we just let it go so easily? It's far too unfair to those innocent victims."
Yun Ming sneered and shot them a disdainful glance. "There are plenty of unfair things in this world. Why are some people born nobler than anything, while others are lowly as dust? I killed more than a dozen people, so I'm a bad person, an evil person! But do you know this? There are people in this world whose hands are not stained with blood, yet countless corpses lie beneath their feet. All they need to do is say one word, and countless people will be condemned to live in hell."
Talking about fairness, were they? Then he would bring out the ultimate weapon: class.
Honestly, even angels would be unable to say anything coherent in the face of that ultimate weapon.
Angelic justice was extreme? Hmph. Were they even worthy of the word "extreme"?
Yun Ming was now using the sharp words he planned to wield against those self-proclaimed righteous angels in the future.
The three of them turned livid the moment they heard this.
"You're making a far-fetched argument!"
"These are completely different matters!"
"..."
"Look at those places, where war rages and ordinary people live in misery. Then look at those places where human trafficking runs rampant. Why don't you so-called champions of justice go stop it? You stand by and do nothing—isn't that also evil? So many people in this world long for justice. Why are you unwilling to lend them a hand? Qiang Wei, you always tell me not to commit evil simply because it is small. Yet I tell you: do not refrain from doing good simply because it is small."
Yun Ming launched into an endless stream of arguments, his words sharp and aggressive.
