He Xi first meets Yun Ming at a lakeside after Angel Zhui brings him to her. She questions him about the Light Screen, his sudden mastery of Inner Force Martial Arts, and his knowledge of Morgana's and He Xi's real names. Her initial approach is openly suspicious and investigative. 50

She later captures Yun Ming for interrogation and places him in a nutrient-solution chamber to examine his body and improve his physical fitness. Although she frames the procedure as an exchange that would benefit him, Yun Ming regards her motives warily. 51
