Dai Weisi's plan
Dai Mubai stood at the door for a while, his smile fading, and he put on a serious expression before pushing the door open and going inside.
"Brother, the Grandmaster has agreed." Dai Mubai closed the door and sat down at the table. "He said that since it's someone from the Star Luo Royal Family who wants to learn, he can make an exception. But there's one condition: the technique cannot be passed on to outsiders, and you can't mention it to anyone until you've mastered it."
Dai Weisi leaned back in his chair and tapped his fingers lightly on the table twice.
What are the conditions?
"This is the only one." Dai Mubai took the booklet out of the cabinet, placed it on the table, and pushed it over. "The Grandmaster said this technique is the culmination of half his life's work. If it falls into the wrong hands, all his efforts will have been in vain. Brother, if you want to learn it, you have to promise not to pass it on."
Dai Weisi looked at the booklet; the handwriting on the cover was neat and tidy, and it was Yu Xiaogang's handwriting.
"Okay." Dai Weisi reached for the booklet, glanced at the first page, and said, "I promise. I won't share it."
Dai Mubai nodded, then took out several manuscripts from the cabinet and stacked them next to the booklet.
"These are the cultivation notes compiled by the Grandmaster, which record the key points of energy circulation and body tempering reactions for the first four levels. Take them back and study them slowly. If there's anything you don't understand, come and ask me next time, or ask the Grandmaster directly."
Dai Weisi tucked the booklet and manuscript into his pocket and stood up.
"Then I'll be going now." Dai Weisi patted his robe, his gaze lingering on Dai Mubai's face for a moment. "You... take care of yourself."
"Understood." Dai Mubai stood up to see him off.
The two left the dormitory one after the other and walked along the corridor.
As they passed by the courtyard, Ma Xiaohong and Ao Xiaoya were squatting by the flower bed, pretending to look at the flowers. When they saw them come out, they both stood up and smiled brightly.
"Take care, Brother Dai." Ma Xiaohong waved.
"Be careful on the road," Ao Xiaoya added softly.
Dai Weisi nodded to them, and without stopping, followed Dai Mubai all the way to the academy gate.
Dai Weisi's carriage was parked at the entrance, with two pure white Gale Horse harnessed to the front, and the coachman standing by waiting.
The two attendants had already placed the brocade box into the carriage.
Dai Weisi walked to the carriage and turned around.
"Mubai." Dai Weisi looked at his younger brother.
"Um?"
"Thank you for that cultivation technique."
Dai Mubai waved his hand, smiling frankly, "No need to thank me, you're my brother. Of course I'd think of you first when good things happen."
Dai Weisi looked at the smile on his face and felt that something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Alright, you can go back now." Dai Weisi stepped onto the bench, lifted the curtain, and climbed into the carriage.
Dai Mubai stood at the academy gate, waved to the carriage, and watched as the driver cracked his whip, and the two Gale Horse strode towards the official road.
After the carriage had traveled a dozen or so steps, Dai Mubai's smile gradually faded, but a slight curve remained at the corner of his mouth.
He turned and walked towards the academy, his steps much lighter than before.
Inside the carriage, Dai Weisi leaned against the cushions, took the booklet from his pocket, and turned to the second page.
Huiyin acupoint.
He stared at those three words for a long time.
It will hurt during body tempering, but you'll get through it if you just bear with it.
He recalled Dai Mubai's expression when he said those words, and then he remembered the meaningful smiles on Ma Xiaohong and Ao Xiaoya's faces as they stood by the flowerbed.
Dai Weisi's brows slowly furrowed.
He closed the booklet, leaned back on the cushion, and closed his eyes to think for a while.
Mubai said, "It hurts a little."
Ma Xiaohong said, "Adjusting body structure."
Ao Xiaoya stood to the side, smiling gently.
Flender stood in the corridor, his expression suggesting he was holding something back.
Dai Weisi reopened the booklet, turning to the first page, then the second, and then the third.
Each layer adjusts the body's structure.
The first layer removes impurities, the second layer unblocks meridians, and the third layer adjusts body shape.
The fourth layer involves a full-body pulse brush.
Dai Weisi's finger stopped on the fourth page, where the energy cultivation routes were densely packed, and each annotation described the effects of body tempering.
He suddenly closed the booklet.
"Turn around," Dai Weisi called out to the driver, lifting the carriage curtain.
Your Highness?
"Turn around and head back to the Shrek Academy."
The coachman turned the carriage around, and just as the two Gale Horse turned around, Dai Weisi changed his mind again.
"Never mind, no need to turn around."
Your Highness?
"Keep going."
Dai Weisi lowered the carriage curtain, leaned back on the cushions, and clutched the booklet in his hand for a long while.
He had just thought of going back to Dai Mubai to get to the bottom of things, but then he reconsidered, what good would it do to get to the bottom of things?
Dai Mubai had already given him the booklet, and the smile on that kid's face clearly indicated that he was waiting for him to go back and ask.
If he goes back and asks, wouldn't that be exactly what that kid wants?
Dai Weisi placed the booklet next to his seat, took a deep breath, and then exhaled.
"Mubai," Dai Weisi muttered to himself, leaning back on the cushion, "You're playing mind games with your brother, aren't you?"
The carriage headed towards Heaven Dou City. Dai Weisi sat in the carriage and flipped through the booklet again along the way.
This time he looked at it carefully, matching each acupoint on every page of the energy cultivation route diagram. After finishing, he leaned back on the cushion and remained silent for a long time.
"The side effect is turning into a woman." Dai Weisi finally said it, and felt a little relieved afterward. "That kid Mubai deliberately didn't tell me."
He remembered Dai Mubai standing at the dormitory entrance seeing him off, the curve of his lips, and the lightheartedness with which he waved goodbye.
Dai Weisi laughed in exasperation, then shook his head.
"Alright." Dai Weisi put the booklet into his pocket. "Since we're already here, we might as well take the cultivation manual."
As the carriage entered the gates of Heaven Dou City, Dai Weisi peeked out through a crack in the curtain, then lowered it again, leaned back on the cushions, and closed his eyes.
A plan popped into Dai Weisi's mind: he could give these cultivation techniques to his brothers to practice.
This ensures that there will be no competitors in the future.
The thought of his brothers all becoming sisters made Dai Weisi burst into laughter.
On the other side, at the entrance of the Shrek Academy.
Dai Mubai stood at the door for a while, until the carriage turned onto the main road leading to Heaven Dou City and disappeared into the shadows of the trees in the distance, before slowly turning around.
Ma Xiaohong and Ao Xiaoya had already gathered around him, one on each side, their expressions even brighter than before.
"They've left?" Ma Xiaohong asked.
"I'm leaving." Dai Mubai nodded.
"When do you think he'll find out?" Ao Xiaoya asked.
"With my brother's brains, he'll probably figure it out as soon as he gets on the bus," Dai Mubai shrugged. "But he won't come back to ask. He's too proud to admit it."
"Will he continue practicing?" Ma Xiaohong pressed.
