Background / History

Qin Qi is a transmigrator who lost both parents at the age of three and survived through the support of Holy Soul Village. His initial martial-soul awakening appeared disappointing: he possessed a one-fingered palm Body Martial Soul and only Innate Soul Power Level 1. 1

Immediately after the awakening, Ben Jie Sun—the Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable—contacted him mentally and passed down the Thieving Heaven true inheritance. Qin Qi learned that his martial soul was actually the Formless Hand, a Thieving Dao killer move capable of replacing the Gu worms normally needed to activate inherited techniques. He pledged to eventually help Thieving Heaven return to the Gu World. 1 2

Qin Qi’s first major theft was Tang San’s hidden Clear Sky Hammer. Unable to wield its weight, he used the killer move Steal to refine it into a mark on his hand, permanently making it his Martial Soul. He then began covertly draining Tang San’s Soul Power to accelerate his own cultivation. 1 3

At Notting Academy, Qin Qi became Dorm Seven’s boss by defeating Wang Sheng and retaining the position against Xiao Wu through evasive tactics. He later established himself as the academy’s “school boss” by knocking out Xiao Chenyu before the older student could activate his Martial Soul. 5 6 14

He secretly stole Yu Xiaogang’s Soul Rings and External Beast Martial Soul, Luo Sanpao. After refining Luo Sanpao with Heart Steal, he renamed it the Golden Saint Dragon and committed himself to evolving it into a true dragon. 8 9 17

After publicly defeating and humiliating Tang San, Qin Qi fled Notting Academy to avoid Tang Hao’s retaliation. Before leaving the region, he infiltrated the hidden chamber in Holy Soul Village, had the Golden Saint Dragon consume Ah Yin’s Blue Silver Emperor grass form, and stole the hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor Soul Bone. 26 28

Qin Qi gradually extracted and refined the Soul Bone’s energy instead of absorbing it whole. The process purified his body, opened his meridians and acupoints, and transformed his poor natural aptitude into talent he considered comparable to Innate Full Soul Power. 28

In Suotuo City, Qin Qi registered at the Great Soul Arena as Luo Mian and built a winning record while covertly stealing Soul Power from its visitors. He later replaced Dai Mubai’s Evil-Eyed White Tiger and Ma Hongjun’s Evil Fire Phoenix with forged imitations, then refined their genuine Martial Souls for himself. 28 31 35

Qin Qi is ambitious, calculating, and intensely pragmatic. He believes that an unnoticed theft is true theft, while being caught turns it into crude robbery. His plans regularly involve disguises, forged identities, concealed cultivation, and exploiting others’ weaknesses. 3 9 28 37
