One Hundred Twenty Thousand-Year External Soul Bone: Dragon Tail!

Huang Yun landed at the edge of the depression, stepping onto the soft, loose earth as he carefully surveyed the area before him.

Under the Lightning Falcon Eyes, every detail within the depression was laid bare before him.

Those exposed white things were cross-sections of bone.

Thick, hard, and irregularly cylindrical, some of the fractured surfaces had fine porous structures in the surrounding soil. Those were the marrow cavities within the bones.

Judging by their size, the diameter of these bones far exceeded that of any known terrestrial Soul Beast. A single rib was thicker than his waist.

It really was a Dragon.

Huang Yun walked around the edge of the depression and discovered that this Dragon was even larger than he had imagined.

The entire depression lay within the coverage of its skeleton. From skull to tail vertebrae, it was at least a hundred meters long.

A Dragon Clan Soul Beast of such size had to be at least a hundred thousand years old.

He took a deep breath, suppressing the excitement in his heart before leaping down.

The inside of the depression was deeper than it appeared from outside, roughly four or five zhang deep, with a thick layer of dust and broken rocks piled at the bottom.

He landed near the skeleton's chest and reached out to touch the nearest rib. It felt icy cold, its surface rough and hard, with clearly visible patterns unique to Dragon Clan bone.

He followed the skeleton forward, carefully searching every inch of bone and the surrounding soil.

Apart from the enormous Dragon Clan skeleton, there was nothing else inside the Dragon Bone Pit. The soil was mixed with countless bone fragments and weathered rock shards, clearly formed through years of natural erosion by wind and rain.

No traps, no traces of Soul Beast activity, no human footprints.

This place probably had not been discovered yet.

He lowered his head and looked through a crack in the eye socket at the top of the skull. The grayish-white light floated quietly deep within the cranial cavity, about the size of a fist, with a soft glow flowing across its surface.

He reached into the crack. The instant his fingertips touched the light, a gentle yet heavy energy surged into him through his fingers. It was purer than Soul Power, richer than ore, like the concentrated essence of heaven and earth accumulated over countless millennia.

Dragon Crystal.

He carefully removed the Dragon Crystal and examined it in his palm.

The Dragon Crystal was an irregular sphere, smooth and warm in texture. Its color gradually shifted from grayish white to pale gold, while liquid-like streams of light slowly swirled inside, radiating a pure Dragon Clan aura.

It felt heavy in his hand, far heavier than it looked, weighing at least several dozen jin.

Huang Yun turned it over twice and found several tiny cracks on its underside, as though it had been shattered by an immense impact before slowly fusing back together over time.

He guessed that this Dragon had encountered a great battle before its death. Its Dragon Crystal had suffered severe damage, and the fragments had gradually rejoined into a complete sphere over the long years.

Even so, the energy contained within this Dragon Crystal remained astonishingly abundant.

He stored it in his storage ring, then began carefully searching the other areas.

Besides Dragon Crystals, the most valuable things possessed by Dragon Clan Soul Beasts were Spirit Bones. Dragon Clan Spirit Bones were of exceptionally high quality; obtaining even one would be enough to utterly transform a Soul Master.

He spent nearly half an hour examining the entire Dragon skeleton from front to back.

When he reached the end of the tail vertebrae, his gaze suddenly froze.

Attached to the final tail vertebra was a palm-sized piece of bone, completely different from the surrounding grayish-white Dragon Bone.

It was a bone fragment radiating a pale golden halo. Its surface was fine and smooth, and faint golden patterns wandered through it, pulsing subtly like the blood vessels of a living creature.

The Spirit Bone was roughly palm-sized and long and narrow, tapering slightly at the end. It gave off a soft dark-golden sheen, while tiny blue-white arcs of electricity occasionally flickered along its edges, as though it were breathing.

He took a deep breath, sat down cross-legged, and pressed the Spirit Bone against his tailbone.

The instant the Spirit Bone touched his skin, it melted into him on its own. A warm and surging force spread from his tailbone, flowing all the way up his spine before returning and gathering at the tip of his tailbone.

The fusion process was far smoother than he had expected. Dragon Clan Spirit Bones possessed a naturally high affinity for Soul Masters with lightning-attribute Martial Souls.

At the same time, a stream of inherited information flooded into his mind.

Thunder Abyss Dragon.

One hundred twenty thousand years old, an ancient branch of the Dragon Clan, proficient in lightning and spatial-rending abilities.

This tailbone was the only External Soul Bone condensed from the essence of its entire body.

The Spirit Bone was named Dragon Tail. When inactive, it remained hidden within the tailbone, no different from an ordinary bone.

Once activated, a Dragon Tail covered entirely in dark-golden scales would grow from his tailbone. Fine blue-white arcs of electricity flowed between the scales, and its conical tip existed somewhere between physical matter and energy. Its length would grow along with his Soul Power Level.

At the Soul King stage, it would be roughly one zhang long. At the Soul Emperor stage, it could reach two zhang. At the Soul Saint stage, it could exceed three zhang.

More importantly, this External Soul Bone came with two hundred-thousand-year-level soul skills.
