He applies escalating Soul Power pressure up to level 50, intending to determine whether Gu Feng has the strength and character to join the sect and remain close to Rongrong. 14

The test instead reveals Gu Feng's extraordinary physique and Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone. Gu Rong immediately changes from skeptical examiner to impressed supporter. 14 15

Supporting Gu Feng's Place in the Sect

Gu Rong joins Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin in deciding that Gu Feng should receive the sect's best protection and resources without having his unconventional wind-element cultivation path constrained. 15
