Background / History

Tang San arrives at Nuoding Academy from Holy Soul Village as its work-study student, accompanied by village elder Old Jack. Although the gatekeeper dismisses his Blue Silver Grass and Spirit Hall certificate as fraudulent, Tang San protects Old Jack by using precise grappling and footwork to knock the man down. 6

Yu Xiaogang confirms that Tang San possesses Innate Full Soul Power and Twin Martial Souls. When Yu Xiaogang appears to uncover his secret, Tang San initially considers killing him to prevent disclosure; after hearing Yu Xiaogang's explanation, however, he kneels and accepts him as his master. 7 8

At Nuoding Academy, Tang San becomes Dorm Seven's temporary boss by defeating Wang Sheng. His rivalry with Lin Qing begins almost immediately, driven by their conflict over Yu Xiaogang and Tang San's possessive interest in Xiao Wu. Lin Qing defeats him first before Tang San has acquired a Spirit Ring, then defeats him again in a public spirit battle after Tang San obtains Blue Silver Entanglement. 10 11 20 21

Personality

He is deeply devoted to Yu Xiaogang, whom he considers a second father. He accepts Yu Xiaogang's teachings without question, defends him fiercely from criticism, and promises to restore his reputation. 14 21
