Lu Yuan and his companions gathered allies and resources as they traveled to Mingdu, joined the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy’s tournament team, and crossed paths with Huo Yuhao and Shrek Academy. The arc ended with Lu Yuan obtaining Life Gold and Electrolux agreeing to help develop a way for Soul Beasts and Soul Masters to share power.

• Gu Yuena sent Lu Yuan, Xiao Xiao, and the transformed Three-Eyed Golden Lion, who chose the name Gu Qiu'er, out from Star Dou Forest while Bi Ji followed them in secret.
• Lu Yuan and the girls took most of Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s Spiritual Origin before he entered Huo Yuhao’s Mental Sea, and Lu Yuan used the essence to strengthen his Soul Rings.
• Lu Yuan’s group fought Holy Spirit Cult Evil Soul Masters, met Ye Guyi, and continued to Mingdu, where they bought Soul Tools and won several Soul Duel Arena matches.
• Lu Yuan defeated Ji Juechen in a sword spar, and Ji Juechen broke through his sword impasse while the trio’s arena victories drew the attention of Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen.
• Gu Qiu'er defeated Xiao Hongchen and Xiao Xiao defeated Meng Hongchen, after which Lu Yuan’s group became friends with the siblings and agreed to compete for the Royal Soul Engineer Academy.
• The Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy joined the tournament, where Huo Yuanyu used simulated Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Rings to help Shrek Academy defeat Tianling Academy.
• Lu Yuan outbid Huo Yuanyu for the Soul-Eating Engraving Knife at the Starlight Auction, then showed it to Electrolux, who recognized its Life Gold.
• Electrolux accepted Lu Yuan’s requests to help build a tower in the Void Realm and develop Soul Symbiosis, then purified the knife and revealed its nearly pure Life Gold.

Lu Yuan won the auction’s Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast embryo and fused with the Snow Empress, then led Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy through the tournament finals against Shrek. After Lu Yuan’s team defeated Shrek three to zero, Xuan Zi accused him of murderous intent, but Huang Jinxu declared Sun Moon the champion.

• Lu Yuan won the Ice Jade Scorpion Left Arm Bone and the Sealing God Platform at auction, then persuaded the Snow Empress to fuse with him and become his second Martial Soul.
• The Snow Empress emerged as the Little Snow Girl, and Lu Yuan brought her to the tournament, where she joined him as his partner.
• Lu Yuan defeated Dio Academy alone, then sent Cheng Gang into the Abyss after Cheng Gang broke into his room to accuse him of being a transformed Soul Beast.
• After Cheng Gang disappeared, Xu Jiawei apologized for Star Luo’s security failure and increased Lu Yuan’s compensation, while Shrek defeated Star Luo National Academy to reach the finals.
• The Little Snow Empress defeated Shrek in the team battle, and Xu Jiawei ordered Huo Yuhao punished for using Spiritual Detection Sharing, leading Dai Hao to cane him publicly.
• Lu Yuan defeated Shrek’s fighters in the individual round, and Shrek forfeited that round before requesting a Two-Two-Three showdown.
• Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen defeated Bei Bei and Ling Luochеn, then Lu Yuan and the Snow Empress defeated Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong’s Martial Soul Fusion Skills.
• Xuan Zi accused Lu Yuan of murderous intent after his slash shattered the arena, but Huang Jinxu declared Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy the champion after its three-to-zero victory.

After Ma Xiaotao died during her rampage, Shrek blamed Lu Yuan and punished Xuan Zi, while Lu Yuan gained a new power and strengthened his ties with the Extreme North. The arc ended with Lu Yuan proposing to use Profound Ice Marrow and Life Gold to help Ice Empress reach five hundred thousand years of cultivation.

• Ma Xiaotao’s Evil Fire turned black and drove her into a rampage, and Lu Yuan’s flames engulfed her after she struck Xuan Zi.
• Xuan Zi fought Lu Yuan until Xu Jiawei stopped them, then left Star Luo City as the tournament crowned Sun Moon Imperial Soul Tool Academy champion.
• Mu En confirmed Ma Xiaotao had become an Evil Soul Master, while Shrek’s leaders blamed Lu Yuan publicly and confined Xuan Zi for ten years.
• Lu Yuan returned to Lake of Life, reunited with Gu Yuena, and prepared to seek a seventh Soul Ring in the Evil Demon Forest.
• Di Tian helped Lu Yuan kill the Evil Eye Tyrant, and Lu Yuan absorbed its Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring while Gu Yuena’s Reverse Scale protected his mind.
• Lu Yuan discovered he could use Abyssal Power to manifest Ma Xiaotao from the earth veins, then took Snow Empress and Bi Ji to meet Ice Empress.
• Ice Empress agreed to become a Soul Ring for Snow Empress after Lu Yuan promised to support the Extreme North and meet her conditions.
• Lu Yuan and the Empresses found Ten-Thousand-Year-Profound Ice Marrow, and Ice Empress survived her Heavenly Tribulation before Lu Yuan proposed using marrow and Life Gold to raise her cultivation further.
