"Officer Russell, we're ready. When do we leave?"
Max and Caroline stood at the front door on the first floor, dragging bags and suitcases behind them, each wearing a beach hat.
"We were supposed to leave five minutes ago, but you two stopped me..."
Looking at the suitcases and oversized backpacks they were hauling, Russell said speechlessly, "We're just going fishing at sea, not moving house. There's no need to bring this much luggage, and it won't all fit in the trunk."
"Okay, give us one more minute. Don't abandon us."
It all started three days ago. Russell successfully captured T-X, gave it life, turned it into Eleanor, and arranged a meeting with Arnold.
From Eleanor, Arnold obtained crucial intelligence. The tension in his heart eased, and with his successful acquisition of Cybertron Company, he was in such a good mood that he was happier than when Russell had gotten his name right.
As it happened, the legal team cited every precedent imaginable and successfully bailed Leon out of prison.
Mathilda was so excited that she could not sleep all night. She begged her adoptive parents to throw a party to celebrate Leon's new lease on life.
In his excellent mood, Arnold immediately agreed. He also invited Russell to join them aboard the Governor 2 yacht for a fishing trip to Hawaii.
Russell had seven days off. He had originally planned to spend the last two days teaching pistol skills to trainees in the Training Bureau's firearms and tactics unit, but Arnold's invitation was too enthusiastic to refuse, so he agreed.
He could fish, enjoy the sea breeze, and treat it as a vacation.
When he left home that morning, he ran into the 2 Broke Girls duo, who seemed never to sleep. The moment they learned he was
