At the sound, Drago drew the sword at his waist.

Russell frowned toward the source of the scream. Perseus sounded full of vigor, so Russell knew he was perfectly fine—just scared out of his wits.
Knowing Perseus, he had probably found something like an anthill, gotten playful and tried spraying water into a crack in the rocks, only to get stuck and be unable to pull it out.
