Shuma-Gorath was an ancient and evil demon god, one of the Old Ones in the Marvel universe. With its Cthulhu-inspired design, it looked like a mass of eerie green tentacles topped with one enormous eyeball.
Whether seen from afar or up close, it made one's skin crawl.
Russell thought it was all right. Maybe he had seen too many tentacles lately, but he found Shuma-Gorath's big eye rather cute.
Splash!
Shuma-Gorath's green eyelids peeled open, revealing rings of fang-filled maw-like structures around its eyeball. Wet mucus dripped from its fangs as it stared unblinkingly at Russell.
Russell: (-_-)
If it accidentally bit its own eye, would what flowed out be tears of pain, or drool from craving meat?
He took back what he had said. Shuma-Gorath had far heavier tastes than he did. At least his eyes and mouth were separate instead of growing together.
A chaotic stream of thoughts surged toward him. Russell refused the private chat, avoiding the risk of being mentally corrupted into a chaotic evil villain.
As everyone knew, he had always been absolutely neutral. He only watched the show and never said a word.
He silently stepped back twice. Seeing the tentacles slowly reaching toward him, Russell roughly understood what was happening. With a speechless sigh, his arm transformed into pale tentacles and entwined with Shuma-Gorath's eerie green tentacles.
They even swayed up and down together!
Perhaps its lips had closed in a toothless smile, or perhaps its eyelids had narrowed into crescents. In any case, Russell could not make heads or tails of the gesture. By the time he came back to himself, a Tentacle had already draped itself over his shoulder.
He suddenly felt as if he had been invited next door for a little talk. He hoped it was just his imagination.
