Heavy clouds blanketed the sky, layer upon layer blocking out the moonlight and making this gloomy city of Gothic architecture seem even darker and more terrifying.
A cold wind blew in, and a drizzle began to fall, cooling the restless Gotham City slightly while draping it in a quiet, hazy veil of mist.
Russell stood with his arms folded, his feet planted on a Vertical Takeoff Glider as he weaved between skyscrapers. Beneath his visor, his blue eyes precisely scanned everything within sight, searching for a suitable opponent for Selina.
A beginner leaving the starting village—Wayne Manor was unsuitable, and Arkham Asylum...
That could wait a couple of days!
"Mr. Russell, it's raining tonight. The criminals haven't come out. How about we go home and cuddle the cat instead?" Selina shivered in the cold wind. With her current physique, the chill in her body was secondary.
What really chilled her was her heart!
The glider had limited space and was single-person equipment, with no room for two people. Russell had simply tied a rope to the wing and suspended Selina in midair as they flew.
