Mammon, possessing Angela, laughed. "Do you really think I'll take pity on you and give up my chance to rule the human world just to save your miserable life?"
"Of course you won't take pity on me, but think carefully about what will happen if I die!"
Mammon froze. Right, he really couldn't afford the consequences of Constantine's death.
All along, Constantine's soul had been regarded by the Lord of Hell—his neurotic father, Satan—as something already in his pocket, kept under long-term watch.
If Constantine died, his father Satan would immediately leave Hell and personally come to the human world to claim that scumbag's soul.
