Red as fire!
The three strained against each other at once, driving the energy within their bodies against the other two. A tidal surge of energy roiled outward, making the ground of Los Angeles rumble and tremble. Several nearby buildings let out creaking groans, vast sheets of glass shattered, and the entire structures seemed ready to collapse at any moment.
Farther away, the sea level churned as waves receded like an ebbing tide. Dark clouds blanketed the ocean, thunder boomed, and it felt as if a natural disaster was brewing.
A TV station helicopter that had appeared at some unknown point captured the scene of gods battling. Realizing their lives mattered more than overtime pay and bonuses, they promptly turned around and flew far away, heading out of Los Angeles.

What were they going to the TV station for at a time like this? Naturally, since they had a helicopter, they were getting the hell out of there!
Though it could not exactly be called running away. They were filming traffic congestion from above and broadcasting live city news.
For a time, the City of Angels became a disaster zone. People scrambled to flee outside the city. Those with planes took planes, while those without drove cars.
Those with nothing called 911 for help, only to find the line busy and impossible to get through.
The military and state police maintained order during the evacuation, directing civilians to retreat while covering their withdrawal. As they kept retreating, they discovered they had somehow ended up at the very front.
That was awkward!
After some discussion, both sides decided waiting in place was too risky. So the state police directed the military, the military directed the state police, and they steadily continued withdrawing
