An Explanation Was Necessary

Barry, blushing and with his heart pounding, seemed to have accidentally broken through his limits. He was even faster than before, but the Kryptonian Soldier paid him no attention, focusing all his vigilance on Diana.

Barry was fast, but he was too young. In terms of danger, he was nowhere near the murderous Diana.

A bead of cold sweat slid down the Kryptonian Soldier's temple. Two of his comrades had chased after Diana, yet Diana had returned unharmed while his two companions had not.

Seeing the blood on Diana that clearly did not belong to her, the Kryptonian Soldier's gaze turned vicious. There were not many living Kryptonians left; every death was a tremendous loss.

Whoosh!

The Kryptonian Soldier clenched his fists and shouted, stomping both feet into the ground. His immense power cracked the rocks beneath him, and he shot straight into the sky on the recoil...

Never to return!

They had lost even in a two-on-one fight, let alone with him alone. There was absolutely no way he would accept a one-on-one battle.

The Kryptonian Soldier gritted his teeth. Though unwilling, for the survival of his race, he had to swallow this bitter fruit called humiliation, no matter how hard it was.

"Heh, so he was a coward."

Diana held a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, prepared to attack. Looking at the black silhouette vanishing into the sky, she shook her head in disappointment. "It seemed not all Kryptonians viewed death as nothing. At least, this one didn't."

Barry flashed to Diana's side, still looking somewhat awkward and uneasy, not daring to meet her eyes. "That Kryptonian Soldier escaped. Aren't we going after him? If he gets into the city, finding him again will be troublesome."

"It's fine. He chose the wrong direction."
