Bruce looked Russell up and down and said in a deep voice, "Was it destroyed by General Zod's female adjutant, or did you break it yourself?"
"What do you mean?"
"If you broke it yourself, that would be easier to explain. After all, you built it specifically to destroy it in battle..."
Russell frowned. "Wait, don't just throw accusations around like I've got nothing better to do."
Facts spoke louder than words. Everyone knew who had too much time on their hands. Bruce had no interest in pursuing such a pointless topic and continued, "Based on my observations of Kryptonians, their individual strength varies greatly. The female adjutant is very strong—strong enough to force you to go all out, right?"
"Indeed."
Russell nodded honestly. In his understanding, Supergirls were all the type of opponent he had to go all out against.
Of the two Supergirls he had encountered so far, he had already beaten one of them. His win rate had leaped from 0% to 50%, which was a good sign. It meant beating the other one was only a matter of time.
"Is she really that strong?"
Seeing Russell take this so seriously, Bruce's heart sank. This was the first time Russell had answered one of his questions so earnestly. Perhaps he had seen wrong, but he had caught a fleeting trace of... fear in Russell's eyes!?
