He'd overturned again. What was he supposed to do now?
Enveloped by Supergirl's killing intent, Russell felt incredibly wronged. He picked up the steering wheel from the rubble and held it properly. Heaven knew Duan Xinlan had always been the one sidling up to him; he had never responded to her advances.
That's right. A straight body feared no crooked shadow. Why should I be afraid?
The more Russell thought about it, the more sense it made. The previous overturn had clearly traumatized him, and he still hadn't recovered. Now he felt uneasy whenever he looked at anyone.
This wouldn't do. He had to toughen up his resolve, or trouble would find him even when there was none.
Russell wiped his face and cast Supergirl a sacred, inviolable look. His conscience was clear... well, at least in this world, it was.
Russell believed that someone as understanding as Supergirl would surely understand his grievances. Being handsome and popular with women wasn't his fault!
However, Russell's flirtatious glance went completely to waste. Supergirl stared fixedly at Duan Xinlan without even sparing him a look.
Duan Xinlan fearlessly met her gaze. Though she couldn't beat Supergirl, she held the moral high ground. After all, she had been here first.
Were they about to tear into each other?
Ignored by everyone, Russell's eyes lit up. Watching the two women about to fight over him, he couldn't help feeling a little proud.
What was charm? This was charm!
"Captain, you promised you'd help me before, but while I was gone, you secretly stole the fruits of victory. I really misjudged you!"
Duan Xinlan fired the first shot. Her captain clearly already had a boyfriend, yet she still wanted to steal food from Duan Xinlan's bowl. They had promised to be sisters for life, but
