"What's going on?" His eyes snapped open. Turning his hand over, he took out a jade pendant engraved with densely packed runes. It appeared to be a communication device, and he was about to form a hand seal to activate it.
Yet the fluctuations of baleful aura from the Sun-Moon Hall suddenly vanished, as though they had never appeared.
Mingyue froze in astonishment. He extended his divine sense to carefully examine the aura within the hall, but sensed nothing.
Could I have sensed it wrong just now? Mingyue wondered. He extended his divine sense to probe the Sun-Moon Hall again, but still detected nothing.
He looked at the jade pendant in his hand, shook his head, and put it away.
He himself was not even certain whether that aura had truly existed, so naturally he could not report it to the Guiding Daoist. Besides, even if it had been real, it was hardly a serious matter. Shen Luo was refining treasures inside the Sun-Moon Hall; that baleful aura might have come from one of them.
