"Enough of that. What happened to you? How did you end up all alone?" Little Master asked with a frown.
"Alas, after Elder Mo Wang and I parted ways, a great horde of Yin Beasts attacked us. In the chaos, I became separated from the others. I intended to cross the Weak Water in a modified Puppet Armor boat and look for them on the opposite bank, but halfway across, I encountered these vicious beasts. They hounded and pursued me all the way here," Elder Mei explained with a long sigh.
"What about Yan Wushi? Do you know where he went?" Little Master asked again.
At Little Master's question, everyone turned their gaze toward Elder Mei.
Everyone in Heavenly Mechanism City knew that Yan Wushi possessed the greatest talent and finest temperament among the next generation of disciples. He was their undisputed best and the sole choice to become the city's future lord. Whether he lived or died weighed on every heart.
"When we parted, he was with Shen Luo. Both had the Gray Butterfly Powder I sprinkled on them, so no matter how far away they are, I can smell the traces they leave along the way. They have already crossed the Weak Water and should be safe for now," Elder Mei said.
Little Master's expression eased slightly at this, but his brows soon drew tight again. After a long moment, he ordered:
"The opposite bank of the Weak Water will only be more dangerous. We cross immediately. We must find them."
At his command, everyone drove the treasure ship at full power and crossed the Weak Water.
Once they reached the opposite bank, Elder Mei followed the scent of the Gray Butterfly Powder and led them onward. Despite a few scares, they arrived safely before an enormous cavern.
