Shen Luo ignored Misu's warning. His body became a streak of light as he sped after the distant mountain peak.
Before long, he arrived halfway up Qingqiu Mountain. Not far ahead stood a small octagonal altar, upon which burned a dim Ever-Burning Lamp.
Misu and Hu Bugui soon caught up as well. They saw Shen Luo standing ahead, his eyes glowing with an unusual light. He was clearly using his Spirit Eye Divine Ability to investigate something.
Misu opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but after seeing Shen Luo's expression, she ultimately did not disturb him.
"Did you find anything?" Hu Bugui asked after a while.
"No. That aura only appeared for a brief moment. It vanished almost as soon as it appeared, leaving no trace behind," Shen Luo said with a deep frown.
"Since all of us sensed it, it definitely wasn't an illusion," Hu Bugui said.
"By the way, Misu, you..." Shen Luo turned to look at Misu, only to find her staring nervously around them.
"Brother Shen, we've caused trouble," Misu said, her voice trembling slightly.
The moment her words fell, the surroundings suddenly lit up. Scarlet flames flared before them, then with a whoosh transformed into a fire dragon that coiled around them, instantly trapping them in the center.
Immediately afterward, a roar of Dragon Roar rang out, and a massive shadow slowly rose from within the firelight.
Shen Luo and the other two were startled and turned toward the shadow. A Flame Giant roughly a hundred feet tall stood before them, clad in flaming armor with a blazing saber hanging at his waist. His indistinct face bore a pair of deep, piercing eyes.
"Who dares trespass into the ancestral land of the Qingqiu Fox Clan?" the Flame Giant shouted, his voice shaking the heavens.
