After an unknown length of time, Shen Luo's eyes snapped open in his guest room in Heavenly Mechanism City, and he sat bolt upright in bed.
Immediately afterward, his vision went black, and a dizzying sensation swept over him, as though heaven and earth were spinning. Unable to resist the overwhelming drowsiness, he fell back and went to sleep again.
He slept for most of the day. By the time he woke again, it was already evening the following day.
Shen Luo hurried to find Little Master and gave him a detailed account of his journey through the dream the night before.
"Senior, even now, I'm still not quite sure whether I really traveled through a dream or simply had one," Shen Luo said uncertainly.
"According to what you've told me, this time you didn't travel to the world a thousand years in the future, but returned to the moment Elder Man Bo was killed the day before yesterday?" Little Master asked, his brows tightly furrowed.
"That's right... And in this dream, I was like a spectator. No one could see me or sense my presence, and I was like an illusory shadow, unable to touch anyone else," Shen Luo said.
"If that's the case, it does sound more like an ordinary dream," Little Master mused.
"But after waking from the dream, I felt my divine soul was exhausted, and I fell into a deep sleep again. That's completely different from what normally happens to me, so it's really difficult to say," Shen Luo said, shaking his head.
"This Jade Pillow is truly extraordinary. Although I finished repairing it, I can't actually guarantee that it's exactly the same as it was originally. So it's possible that I inadvertently altered its abilities," Little Master said after a long moment of contemplation.
