"National Preceptor, are there still hidden dangers after the Dharma assembly?" Master Baoshu asked with a frown.
"It concerns Master Jiang Liu. Let him explain it himself," Yuan Tiangang said, shaking his head.
At his words, everyone turned their gaze toward Chan'er.
Chan'er's expression was grave, utterly unlike his usual demeanor. After raising a hand in salute to everyone present, he began to speak.
"Presumably, all of you saw the phantom of that monk that day, helping me guide the ten thousand ghosts across? That was not some divine power I manifested. It was actually a remnant soul of my previous life, Master Xuanzang."
