In a stretch of wilderness thirty miles from the palace, a flash of white light appeared. Then the surroundings fell quiet again, with only two white figures moving about.
"This is the place, right?" a man asked in a low voice in the darkness.
"Yes, it should be. Let's change first. Once we've finished scouting, we can report to our lord," another voice replied.
"Yes." Another flash of white light followed. This time, even the white figures vanished beneath the moonlight, leaving only two indistinct black shadows moving swiftly.
The two shadows flew low to the ground at great speed. Before long, they reached the palace where Romon was staying. Unlike that false god, they did not approach it recklessly. They carefully scouted the vicinity and soon discovered the energy barrier enveloping the palace.
