It was already late autumn.

The sky was azure, dotted with white clouds. Below, broad stretches of grass, half green and half yellow, rippled in the wind. Occasionally, butterflies fluttered among the flowers and grass before beating their wings and flying away.

This was the edge of the Thorn Forest. Far from the bustle of the cities, it was peaceful and secluded. Its abundant vitality even seemed to hold the signs of late autumn at bay.

Perhaps only the unmistakable autumn chill in the gusting wind betrayed the season.

Small animals that did not hibernate were gathering and storing food for winter among the bushes and trees. For some unknown reason, these leisurely creatures suddenly scattered in fright.

The next moment, a vortex appeared in midair at the forest's edge. It was pitch-black, seemingly leading into unfathomable depths.

In the blink of an eye, Romon emerged from the vortex. As soon as he appeared, it slowly dissipated.

"Ah, the air of the Main World still smells the best!" Romon took a gentle breath,

then looked around.

In the distance lay an unbroken stretch of forest, and beyond it a village. Part of its wooden palisade showed faintly through the trees, forming a beautiful pastoral scene.

Romon smiled. "I arrived right where I intended. Planar teleportation works everywhere without error. A god's power really is impressive... Using divine power to shift through space is certainly much safer and faster than a portal!"

Looking down at his clothes, he smiled and shook his head. "This is still a little too ostentatious. I should change!"

He made no move to undress. A flash of white light was all it took for his clothing to change.

The gold-threaded ceremonial robe offered by the pontiff became a tasteful Druid Robe, understated, comfortable, and perfectly fitted.
