Looking down from high above, the first thing he saw was a great river like a silver ribbon, winding into the distance and dividing the city in two. Countless sails dotted its waters in a bustling scene.
The city itself was a magnificent cluster of buildings. Within its high, unbroken walls, the largest structures were naturally the temples and the Mage Tower.
The lord's residence stood in the Noble District. It was not particularly tall, but it covered a vast area. Its domed buildings and pointed roofs were pleasing to the eye.
This was the city Romon had built with his own hands, and a sense of pride welled up within him.
But a moment later, a cold smile touched his lips.
