Homecoming (Part 2)

Eileen was clearly dressed differently from usual.

When she appeared before Romon, she wore a long blue dress, her hair piled high atop her head. Her fair, exposed neck made her look elegant and captivating.

Her delicate face bore no heavy makeup, only lightly drawn brows and a touch of color on her lips. With such a clean, unadorned face, she appeared even more beautiful and moving.

Perhaps this was what it meant to be naturally beautiful.

The moment she heard that Romon had returned, surprise and joy had overwhelmed her. She had not even put on an outer coat before rushing out from inside.

The moment she stepped outside, she saw a young, handsome man standing several paces away, smiling at her.

"May the goddess bless us, Romon, you're finally back!"

Eileen's eyes reddened. Looking at the man before her, she began to cry.

She hurried forward a few steps and threw herself into Romon's arms. Feeling the warmth radiating from his body, the corners of her lips curled gently upward.

"I'm sorry for making you worry about me." Romon held that incomparably soft body, feeling its boundless warmth and breathing in the fragrance from her hair. He gently drew a breath.

"No, Romon. As long as you could come back, I was already very happy. More than once, I prayed to the goddess to bless your return. The goddess heard my call, and you truly came back."

Listening to Eileen's soft words, Romon felt as though his heart were about to melt with intoxication. He stroked her hair. "Didn't I come back?"

Romon said with a smile, though his eyes were faintly sore as well. "All right, let's go inside and talk. The wind is cold out here."

As he spoke, Romon took Eileen's hand and walked inside.
