What stirred Romon's interest most was that there was actually a scroll of the continental map in the sitting room. It seemed to have been made from magical paper and glimmered faintly.
"Is that a map of the continent?" Romon stared at it. The map had been made in remarkable detail, depicting the continent's forests, plains, hills, and every nation—even the sea routes and ports along the coast.
"Of course not. This is merely one-third of the continental map." Shak smiled as he explained, "This is the merchant guild's commercial map!"
"Ah, my apologies. Then could you sell me one?" Romon asked, gazing intently at the map.
Such high-quality maps were absolutely precious in this world. Only great nobles and even the Royal House possessed them, and such maps were not made public to ordinary nobles or adventurers.
Shak said with a beaming smile, "I'm sorry, but maps of a continental nature like this are extremely precious. Only Silver-grade distinguished guests have the right to purchase them. You are currently only a Bronze-grade distinguished guest."
Romon clicked his tongue, somewhat regretful, though none of it showed on his face. He could only smile and say, "I understand. Still, when traveling, having a map makes things much easier."
