Romon was not a rash man. He had no desire to repeat the same mistakes and end up like the unlucky Archbishop Andalu—failing to strangle his opponent and getting himself half-killed in the process. That would truly be a tragedy.

As soon as he came within a few steps of the Demon Baron, he slowed down.

He carefully observed the Demon Baron's condition, as well as the situation around it.

To his surprise, he really did spot something wrong.

"The aura around it isn't right!" Looking at the Demon Baron's surroundings, Romon narrowed his eyes. Something... really was off.

Romon activated Spirit Eye and immediately discovered that the aura of the Destruction Storm still lingered throughout the entire hall. This dark aura was, unexpectedly, most concentrated around the Demon Baron.

Spells primarily targeted whoever they were aimed at, so the aura around that target would be denser. Large-scale spells caused damage over a vast area; if the scene had been ruined beyond recognition, distinguishing the intensity of the remaining aura became an extremely effective method.

The Destruction Storm unleashed by that Demon Viscount had not targeted them, but this Demon Baron?
