Dum was a young Sea Elf.

He belonged to a small tribe. Their god's salvation and their recuperation near Hope Island had allowed the Sea Elves to grow stronger.

To protect his home, he had gone into battle without hesitation.

He rolled over in the water, shouting as he left the cave, "May Anion protect us!"

Sea Elves swam beneath the sea, where little light reached the water.

Dum focused his mind and gripped his trident, a weapon used by the Fishmen.

As he rose toward the surface, a thunderous rumble came from above, startling him. But then the Sea Elf priest told everyone, "Those are our ships, our cannons!"

Dum did not understand what a cannon was, but he understood its effects.

Beams of light exploded with deafening booms, blasting sturdy ships apart.

Not far away, a huge hole had been blown through the middle of a warship. Seawater poured inside, and human warriors tumbled into the water in droves.

"Kill them!" The priest's command rang out in their minds.

The Sea Elves swarmed forward.

The human warriors shouted in the sea, but the ocean held them captive. Dum charged forward and drove his trident into a nearby human's body. With a vicious wrench, he tore open a great wound, exposing the human's spilling organs. Glinting intestines drifted through the water like a long, slimy snake, and blood sprayed everywhere.

"Kill!" Most of the humans were utterly incapable of fighting Sea Elves in the water, even though they were brave warriors on land and on deck.

A handful of knights unleashed their battle aura, blasting away the seawater around them.

But this accomplished nothing. It only drew more Sea Elves toward them.

Using his skill, Dum glided through the water and singled out a knight.
