The environment of the Abyssal World was harsh.
Not only did few plants grow on the ground, but water sources were also extremely scarce.
Even when one or two water sources could be found, struggles over them often led to widespread bloodshed.
Demons were not gods. Though they had a strong tolerance for poison, they could not withstand every water source and every kind of toxicity.
The rainy season had now passed. This was a relatively water-rich period in the Abyssal World, and these newly emerged Imps still had some time in which they could survive.
During this time, they would gradually grow stronger, enabling them to face some of the dangers that might arise in the future.
It was so much like the wildlife documentaries Romon had watched on Earth.
Standing at the mouth of the cave and watching the scene outside, Romon knew it was time to act.
The rainy season was over, and the conditions that could seriously harm him had disappeared. He had already wasted considerable time here and could not afford to delay any longer.
"How exactly am I supposed to leave this place?" Romon sighed, thinking of the problem that troubled him most.
Ever since arriving in the Abyssal World, he had been searching for a way back. To his immense disappointment, even with his current strength, he could not detect a single passage connecting the Abyss to another time.
Returning by the same method that had brought him here was simply impossible. Romon had to find some other way to leave the Abyss.
Clearly, he was unlikely to find that way by continuing to search blindly on his own.
"Looks like I'll have to find a Demon Noble and see whether there are any relevant records. These Demon Nobles have lived long lives.
